This may have been asked before by many others but hopefully this doesn't hit the fan as fast as I think it will.
I've gotten this game a year ago, but because of time constraints I haven't been able to play. I'm excited for GW2, and I want to get the story, but I've heard PvE isn't very fun solo.
Sooooo, if anyone has some free time on their hands, I'm looking for people that don't bash on me everyday for not being on all the time, but people who can hopefully help me learn and have fun at the same time ^_^
Message me and we can arrange times and what not.
Can you guys help me learn this game

Try the Guild Recruitment Forum. You should have very little trouble finding a guild full of people who will be happy to help you out, good luck

PvE can be pretty bland when you're rolling through it with heroes/henchmen, but if you're just playing to experience the story and scenery, I don't see a problem with it. Just don't try going completely solo (as in, no heroes/henchmen) you won't get very far.

Most of the people nowadays are getting their hall of monuments full for rewards in gw2. Long ago were the days where people were running missions, outposts and actually doing pve stuff. Most pve stuff now is solo farming, titles, fow, and UW.

I'm actually just finishing up my HoM, so a lot of time is being freed up. Hitch me up and I'll gladly help/join in.
The game is much more fun when you play with other people.

For some reason the title of the thread reminded me of this:

I think the best we can do is give you advice about how to get informed yourself about the game. The wiki, read what the NPCs say, the blue hints, and such.
You know, give a man a fish, and they'll eat a day, give them a fishing rod, and they'll eat until the fishing rod breaks, tell them how to make a fishing rod and they'll just eat fish, give them a proper education, and they'll figure out how to make fishing rods, and all kinds of other useful stuff.

OP :You might be surprised, sometime playing alone means you're not rushed.
Anyway, I'd be glad to have a reason to replay through things without feeling rushed.
I'm not online a lot, so the best might be to pm me on the forum to set up a time.

(eidt : btw, an advice I can give you to make the game more fun with H/H, dont play with hero when you can avoid it and don't bring a full party unless you need it. 6man is more fun than 8man I think.
