Farming pvp statue this weekend.

So i noticed its double faction this weekend. I've finally got off my ass and decided to farm a pvp statue, i'm just not sure how I should approach it. Is there any easy statue to farm? My mate said that im either going to have to do luxon pvp or buy 200 z keys. The keys are definatly out of the option seeing how i don't have that much money.

So I was just wondering if it would take me long at all to farm r4 for either luxons or kurzick this weekend?

Well luxon and kurzick don't count as pvp titles really.
best bet would have to be to get r3 zaishen rank.

Yep, Zaishen is the easiest PvP title to get. Luxon & Kurzick titles don't count for the PvP title.

like said, faction PvP reward mainly faction, factions titles are considered PvE in the HoM calculator (though you can get the statue's by doing PvP only, you can get them too when doing PvE only).

When you want to start doing PvP for the statue, the best place to start would be random arena's. You should check out PvX for some idea's bout a build (though it would be best to tweak one of the PvP builds to your own liking). Remember that you have to fight real people as smart as you and not bots and many skills work differently. There is a time consuming way to get 200 zkeys without doing real PvP but it takes time:

1: go do the zaishen elite daily (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Zaishen_Elite). Check http://www.gwpvx.com/Build:Team_-_Ba...aishen_Trapper for builds.

You only have to fight npc's, so it's basicly PvE, but in a PvP setting. It rewards 6000 balthasar points/day, so thats 6 z-keys every 5 days you do it.

2: use z-coins to get balthasar keys. 250 copper z-coins (traded into 1 gold z-coin) can be changed in a zkey. t should be possible, when doing the daily Iz-mission, z-bounty and z-vanguish, to get a zkey a day. Combining those two methods means you can get the zaishen key title at rank 3 (200 keys needed) in 100 days (3 months). When using the money rewarded for the daily's to buy keys you can shorten that even more.

If you want the title faster you either need to invest money in it (buy keys from other players) or do real pvp.

Farm JQ/FA all weekend, turn your Imperial faction into Balthazar faction, buy lots of ZKeys.

As stated, Luxon/Kurzick doesn't count as a PvP title for those unique points in your HoM. That said, this weekend will be an excellent time to work towards Zaishen Supporter, which does count. On top of the Balthazar Faction you will naturally earn in Factions PvP this weekend, you can turn your doubled Imperial Faction into even more Balthazar Faction, which will get you more keys.

Great weekend to go for it.

Edit: Err, what Pee V Pee said.

I honestly wouldn't do that, 1 zaishen gold coin can be traded for 3 z-keys in gtob easily . Pee V Pee got the right answer. Also 250 copper = 5 silver =/= 1 gold, 500 copper= 1 gold.

Agreed. You absolutely should not exchange a gold coin for a zaishen key, ever. Sell the gold coin to another player, then buy keys from other players. 3 keys per gold coin might be a stretch, but certainly coins sell for well over double the price of keys (keys seem stable at 5k each, gold coins mostly in the ballpark of 2 ecto, so 14k?)

Honestly 200 zkeys doesn't take that long of a time. It just seems like much. It takes a while yes, but you will get there sooner than you might expect. I just got my 200.

Just do the zelite every day and then do whatever zquest you feel like. Tip: the very fast and easy (mostly the first or final mission in a campaign, but some other too) missions nets you a lot of zcoins if done in hm on every character you have. Chanbek? village (first nf mission) gives 74copper if you complete the whole quest and don't take many minutes to do. The important thing is to sell the silver or gold coins, they will net more than what you can trade them for (except the weapons for 100gold...)
You can also do regular pvp (follow the zquest, or do whatever you feel like), trade your imperial faction for balthazar faction. AB + zquest (hand it in every 2 wins) nets alot of faction too. JQ does a fair bit too, more without zquest than AB, but AB gives more when you have the zquest. That is atleast what it have felt like for me.

Your other option is to get the gladiator title to r3, that will take a whole lot longer and you'll have gotten enough balthazar faction for zrank 3 before you get glad 3 anyways. Though it's slower if you just do RA (unless you steamroll everything).

Those are all great advices, if going for r3 zaishen... check out the snowball ATs during wintersday, find a good guild thats does them and you'll get tons of zkeys easy.

I got around 180zkeys, and my guild never was really competitive about it. it's fun easy and fast, so go for it when it comes!

Tysm for the responses, really appreciated and helpful . I'm currently on my way to farming 200 keys now and this weekend has been a big help. Just curious is there any comparison to how long this will take to farming 120 ectos soloing UW? I know its abit random but I always like to know a ruff estimate of how long it will take and this is the only thing iv'e done in awhile that has actually taken some time.

Also i'm assuming Wintersday only comes once a year?

If you're good at uwsc (aka join a guild which does it regularly), then that is probably faster. I've never bothered so I don't actually know.
If you farm ze only and you do a full run in 20 mins it'll take 67h (20 mins per day in 200 days).
By doing JQ I think you can get approximately 1zk every half hour, that's very roughly estimated.
So about two months if that's the only thing you do and you play 1½h each day. But you will do other things while playing and you'll play longer/shorter amounts of time, just have it as a goal while working on other stuff as well, and you'll have your 200 zkeys sooner than later.

Wintersday is actually twice a year, regular wintersday and wintersday in july. However, the summeredition is over a weekend while the real one is 3 weeks or something.
Doing the pve snowballquest over and over again net some good cash.
