Though perfect, Amber Wands, unless oddly modded, are going to be merch food. Im including an example of an oddly modded Bo Staff that you couldnt achieve even with a fully modifiable weapon. (The Water Magic Mod on it could never be added to a modifiable staff, only "Old School" weapons have these strange configurations)
I hope my explanation makes sense to you.
Note: As the critic above noted, the staff I used as an example, was just that....an example of odd mods. I never stated that the staff was worth anything more than the merch price. Perhaps I should have said "unless it has an odd mod that is somehow useful or beneficial to the buyer"
No wonder so few people answer requests for price checks on this forum. A few of the people who do only seem to step up to answer when they can stomp on someone else who was only trying to be helpful. No worries, I wont be again.

Oddly modded stuff if merch food 99% of the time. That Bo Staff for instance - it's possible that someone might give you some plat for it, but I'd say it was for the merchant. Oddly modded Amber Wands are worth the same as the one above - nada.
Anyway, back to the topic. Styxgyan, you might eventually find someone who would want your wand, but it's probably not worth the the bother.

Giving a long drawn out explanation like that which make no sense at all would just confuse someone trying to learn. You posted an item that is completely different.
The only time a amber wand would have much value is as example a r9 water with 20% skill recharge water and 20% halves casting with water. An "odd" one would be worthless like that bo staff. If someone correcting you is enough to run you off you should not post.

Sadly, amber wands are so friggin common due to Fff and chestrunning that its going to take something extra special to garner any interest whatsoever. The reason for quoting stuey is for truth. Don't give up pc'ing just cuz someone corrected you. I can't tell you how many times I've been pimp-slapped for "bad" pc's. But the beauty of his forum is that we are all allowed to express opinion (within the confines of gwguru posting policy ofc). Thus, we all impart a bit of our collective experience and learn from each other. So what you got corrected. So what. That particular misunderstanding won't happen again. Keep the pcs comin
Sadly the amber wand has been merched already, before I could buy it. My personal opinion is the wand could get 3-5k, good hero equipment.
As for filofax's PC, he clearly made an effort to provide an opinion, posting an image and all, so I would echo carnage's recommendations to keep following prices and once you feel confident in your abilities to evaluate an item's worth, go ahead and post.
