So whenever the screen goes dark from a show I'm watching, or a game, or basically anything, the screen itself also darkens (instead of getting brighter, which I think would make more sense) so things end up being twice as dark and thus harder to see.
Is there a way to get rid of this? Or change it somehow, so it DOES get brighter instead of darker?

Thanks in advance!

The screen darkens so that the black areas of the screen look black rather than grey. It's part of what would be called "dynamic contrast".
Not knowing the specific controls on that monitor, I would say to look through the menus to find some sort of "dynamic" picture controls and turn them off and/or RTFM.

Eh, it doesn't work, it just makes things nearly impossible to see. :|
Thanks for the reply, I'll see what I can find.

Solved it - Had to press the Up Arrow for 3 seconds.

Thanks for your help though, I didn't know what it was called and that helped me a lot in my searches
