I have to admit, I shamelessly stole Teresa from Mesmers Are Bad. I never heard of her, or Claymore, at all. Not a manga/anime fan.
She seemed to fit all clues when I wiki'd it, so I combined her with my own answer: Lya.
I got Lya all by myself.
I thought it should be her and not her hubby, because I remember her actually doing some mediating in some sort of court case.
As for William Foster, it's been ages since I've seen that movie. Might've gotten there with some more hints, but they'd have to be strong ones!

You're right. Humans did eventually become the fifth race at the end of Stargate SG-1. I was referring specifically to the ancient alliance between the Ancients, Asgard, Nox and Furlings, thinking along the lines: My race is one of four in the ancient alliance.
