I created an account at the NCSoft web site. But I could not log in to the GW client I just bought with that account. I see now I should have registered the game there but I didn't.
I created another account in game using the same email address and password. So now I guess I have two accounts. But the account I created in game can't be accessed at the NCSoft web site and I'm wondering if that will be an issue in the future.
Confused about NCSoft accounts

NCSoft account and the one in-game are two separate things.
NCSoft accounts have login account name as [email protected]
In-game accounts have login account name as [email protected] and cannot be accessed through NCSoft website
Make sure you remember to put the @...
You can link multiple in-game accounts to one NCSoft Master account, but you must use the in-game account for login
Login to NCSoft to see your account name:

How do I link the ingame account? I see something called 'Use a Serial Number'. But I'm concerned they might think it is not legitimate since I already used the serial number to create the ingame account.

This is not the time or place for a discussion regarding hackers, NCSoft security, etc. If you want to discuss that - take it to Riverside. Please stick to answering just what the OP is asking.
sync00 - as far as I'm aware, as long as your GW account is showing in your NCSoft account it is linked. If you used the NCSoft account to purchase the GW account, it should have automatically linked.
The "Link your game account" in NCSoft accounts is for people who buy the game via other means (ie Steam) and created an account through the in-game client and never used an NCSoft account to buy the game or create a GW account/login.

I don't see a "Link your game account" option at NCSoft.

When you log into your NCSoft master account, go to "Game Accounts". Do you see Guild Wars listed there? If you do, then Guild Wars should already be linked to your NCSoft account.
The easiest way to link your GW account to your NCSoft account if it's not linked is likely through the in-game store (you don't need to buy anything!). Log into your GW game and click the in-game store button - if your GW & NCSoft accounts aren't linked, it should then prompt you to link them. Just follow the prompts to link and it should be done.
This is also an easy way to check if your accounts are linked - if they are you'll be able to access the store, if they aren't you'll be prompted to link them.

To link the accounts I had go to the ingame store, put an item in the shopping cart and then start the checkout process.

Ahh. It's been awhile since I linked my accounts so they either changed it, or I forgot (I'd say I forgot.. lol). Thank you for posting the outcome and how you were able to link accounts
