1. Sometimes I travel a long way in an instance and then have to quit the game before finishing quests in that area. When I start the game again I'm back in town. Is there any way to cut down on the repetitive traveling? I know I can fast travel back to town from an instance.
2. I have some shimmering scales that I can't sell and don't seem to have any other value. How do I get rid of them?

1. Use wiki and have a look if there are any outoposts closer to the area. There is not a way to save your progress in instance.

Do quests have difficulty levels?
Marty Silverblade
Some quests are labelled 'Master' (there will be a red tag at the beginning of the quest description when you look at it in your quest log) but generally no. Quests tend to be fairly similar in difficulty, with the occasional difficult quest or two in each area (iirc the master difficulty tag wasn't used until nightfall so you won't find them in prophecies and factions quests).

Hi,
Well a few tips here
1.use search on the forums and enter the request this may point you to avoid any waiting times on guru for an answer.
2 In game press F10 and enter the point you are seeking this will while you are still in the game close gw screen then take you to the respective question you are seeking. Then once you have an answer you just click the GW icon on the bottom of your taskbar and the screen will load up again to where you were.
also when you press f10 look at the list for e.g the quest or primary quest you are on and click it this will explain it and what to do with a map also.
3. in town if you are looking for a particular Npc hold down the left ALT key and you can scan the town to see him then when done just click him and your char will run directly to him.
4.You are asking about difficulty levels the best way to ensure you are doing it correctly in a sense is if you are in a town and the Hench are say level 10
then as a rough guide you should be close to there levelto ensure you are not to low to try to complete a mission ect
Hope these few basic tips will suffice
