Orozar Sorrow's Furnace Quest
LifeInfusion
I got all the other ones from Sorrow's Furnace but I cannot get Final Assault because I cannot get a Pickup group that can finish this one.
I know I cannot use henches because I tried like 3 times with henches when Sorrow's Furnace was released.
The fact that everyone going to Orozar is FARMING (5 man teams and such) instead of actually doing the quest is really annoying. I spend hours all the time trying to get a team that can finish it.

Any suggestions? (I need a guild group or something, my old guild died after October).

one time i was doing this mish. and after we beat it some guy picked up the guy we had to take to orozar and would not take him to orozar so we couldnt finish the mish. and finally he did but when he did someone ran out of sf before i could talk to orozar because i was still confused about what the guy was doing. so i ended up doing the entire mish and never beat it. i was so friggin pissed. but yeah i have the same troubles.

I want to finish this mission too. It's frustrating becaus eeverybody insists on 5 man team or farming.
So definitely look me up anytime - I'll be happy to drop whatever i'm doing to join you guys.

Give me a ring in game, I've done both Orozar and Final, and I'd be glad to help out.

Feel free to look up Lord Thud and/or Lady Thud. We'll go with you. We are having the same difficulties completing this one.

The key to doing Oro is a MM. MAke sure that you have one in your group and you should be able to complete Oro easily.
Sister Spice
As part of Oro farming I've completed the Oro bit of the Sorrows furnace mission,
but havent done any of the other bits
If anyone fancies doing the other bits, I'll happily tag along for the Oro bit (does that make any sense?)
Im a bond monk
(or can do healer but am less efficient as a healer)
In Game Name = Sister Spice

I managed to do Oro with my Necro and Ele using hechies, but now still need to do Alkar. That is defintely impossible with hechies because part of the group has to stay behind to protect him while the others collect stuff and bring back to him. Hechies just follow you. You can't make any stay behind to protect. I've gotten frustrated and quit trying to get groups to go on the mission because everyone just wants to farm SF now.

At first when i did this quest, it seemed real real hard. We had no minion master tho... 8 vs o about 25 or so... yea... Well we managed to finish that somehow. Next time i MM'ed for them, finished easy.
I bought Light Of Dwayna. If idiots dyed in the same place, why not res them all right? That was the hard part, then we just did the glitch for the second part and finished with ease.

All of the SF quests are doable with only henchies.

Yes, it's doable with henchmen.
I myself brought a Me/N and casted as many well as i could to avoid theirs.Fast casting helps here, but a Necro is more efective, making minions or casting wells.

Tried 3 times with decent groups, no luck. Orozar died from aggroing a bunch of mobs and I ran after him and tried to kill them, but he died anyway after two minutes. It seems he has a mind of his own.
(This is all after bridge is let down)

LifeInfusion, are you avoiding all the "tricks" to doing Orozar (gear tank, not staying near Orozar, clearing out behind the bridge first?) A MM should be able to handle it regardless, like Kidney Licker said.
LifeInfusion
We did not stand next to Orozar though, he ran off.

Is this quite soon after the bridge as been let down?
If so, one way to make it easier is once Oro is close to his brother, leave him there (don't get close enough to activate the next part of the quest where they begin talking). The path over the bridge actually leads back to the first chamber of SF. You can go back to the first chamber and clear the path back to the bridge first. Its on the right as you go from the second to first chamber. Then go back to Oro and activate the rest of the quest.
Make sure the monks are always close enough to heal him, as he can run quite far ahead, and the team may get bogged down by a slow patrol.
There are other ways to do this, but this was the way our group did it the first time. Good luck!!

Which part are you talking about? What I was referring to at the beginning, when Orozar runs off to talk to the Priest of Sorrows and the others. You don't have to necessarily follow him then.
If you're doing Orozar the "normal" way then it's really hard to do with PUGs because they aren't used to defensive tactics (see Thunderhead Keep).

The one time I completed it the legit way (right when it first came out before all the stupid tricks started filtering out) I remember bottling up inside wards and wells.
It's unrealistic to expect a tank to hold all that aggro coming from 3 or 4 directions at once. Unless of course, you use the gear, but of course you wouldn't be here if you wanted to do it the lame way.

Some players in this thread who expressed an interest in doing this quest - I added their names to my friends. I spotted Daemon Dremora on my list so I asked him. It's funny - he responded "eh where did this come from?" when I asked him if he wanted to do the quest. I told him I saw his post here, he was like cool.
Anyway I managed to patch up a group and he joined us. We did pretty good despite the fact there was someone who wouldn't listen to instructions. The bridge got lowered before we were ready but we managed to survive the battle due to two terrific monks we had but with heavy losses. While survivors were busy rezzing the rest of us, Orozar ran off and got his stupid self killed.
However this was best attempt so far and I'd group with Daemon Dremora anytime - he's a terrific player.

You do the Oro quest in that farming anyway. After you have farmed most bosses you go to take the quest, then go to plan B. Simple.
Tips: Don't take an ele, take SS instead. I tryed it twice with both my echo nuker and my echo SS/SV/Shivers Necro and the SS worked out better.

I recently joined a few random PUGs for Orozar farming; they all blew in terms of experience and tactics, and I wouldn't trust them to do the quests. Granted, I've been doing Orozar since about a week after SF came out, but that's still no excuse.
Barinthus
Doesn't farming too long bug the quest? Once we took our time farming and then we went up to Orozar to continue and nothing happened.

I want to do it the way it is meant to be done... because it gives more satisfaction in its completion. I am in no hurry.

I'm with you, Life! In fact I've already added ur name to my friends (along with others in this thread) should I see you I definitely will be whispering you.
I've already grouped with few people from this thread and so far they're all good players.
