Solo faction farming?
beamwire
In anticipation for the upcoming weekend, are there any viable areas for solo kurzick faction farming? I started playing recently again after many years so I don't have a SC guild membership or similar premier methods of gaining reputation
What I do have is a rit with a full hero team and a fresh assassin that I can get to Kurzick territory before the weekend with heroes if need be. Would love any suggestions, thanks!

My personal favourite Kurzick areas to farm for Kurzick faction is:
I find Arborstone too bleak to stay any length of time, but it may be the fastest area to do if you are VQ'ing for Kurzick facton. But my first choice would be Drazach Thicket, which can be Vanquished in approx. 26-36 mins if you do not take any local quests in the area.

With practice and a little route planning you can do Arborstone in about 45 minutes and get 60+ more kills than in Drazach. Fortunately, a couple of hundred runs of that on each account maxed Kurzick for me, and all my characters have vanquished Arborstone and done the mission in both NM and HM, so I will never, never, never have to go back in that blighted place ever again for any reason whatsoever. Ever. (I'm a bit burned out on Arborstone, I fear. )

You can solo Ferndale w. an SoS Rt. Takes a long time and is fairly tedious tho. Good luck.
Drazach and Arbor are pretty tryicky to solo due to the aforementioned Earth eles. Add to that the Mes Wardens and the combimation can be fatal, even in NM.
Best and fastest imho is a team of 3 Necs, 2 Rits (incl. you) 1 Mes, 2 of your choice in HM and rush around Drazach. Not so many foes, but fairly fast at gaining points.

Everyone has there favorite one to farm Kurzick as it depends on your gameplay.
To myself Ferndale is easy with heros and nets you about 26k kurzick in total
its easy to do and once you are at opposite end take the quest also on way back once thats done take the other one at hzh and you add that other faction also.
It can take about 40 mins without rushing and you can stop and start in between if needed.
So it depends whats enjoyable you can even add an alt and leave him at start just to get the vanquish/Faction.

morostav gives most points in faction and even with you and just heroes easy done in 30 minutes.
I am not to fond of vanquishing with my Rit so I recommend the assassin for this particular part of kurzick territory.

The forth fly
Ferndale exit with heros from HoZ go left VQ the area end at Saints A Shrine takes 26 mins 23/26 k faction (with/without quest)

I find Melandru's Hope to be a very easy and quick vanquish--have done it on almost all of my characters (some more than once)..only quirk is the wandering wallow and dredges..but after doing it a few times you get the hang of where they are and if you got them all (only 1 time did I have to go back and find one team)....no annoying eles or hard bosses.
Iuris
For my title, I did many Morostav trail vanquishes. It has the advantage of being a simple map with simple patrols, so you can easily make sure that you got all the enemies in an area. The more complex patrol routes of Melandru's hope and Drazach thicket were annoying, since you could miss a group and have to spend 10 mins. looking for the last group.

If my assumptions are right, you can farm for kurzick faction, but not obtain this weekend's bonuses for doing so unless you use a character that has finished the final mission in Factions and enter the area in Hard Mode.

Yes, but...
...not quite. You must have finished the campaign with a character on the account. So as long as one character in the entire history of the account has beaten Factions (regardless of whether that character still exists or not), all level 20 characters on the account will be able to access HM in Factions.
So no, that is incorrect.

If so, don't you have to finish a campain to be able to enter an area in hard mode? |

Thanks for clearing it up. The Wiki is very vague.
