Can you complete the Resilience Monument solely as a Dervish?

Just double-checking here, since I primarily play a dervish and it seems a little strange for only a couple professions to have this restriction. However, a dervish is unable to craft Luxon or Kurzick armor, so if I want to complete the resilience monument for 50/50, will I have to create another character and run them through factions to craft the set? Or is there some alternative for a dervish character?

You'll need to create another character. Factions is fairly short so if you know what you're doing it shouldn't take too long to get a lux/kurz set.

Thank you. That's a little disappointing, but not much extra effort in the grand scheme of things, hah.

@Marty , Agree with that. Should take a couple of hours to reach the outpost.

Same problem for Assassins and Ritualists, they can't get a Primeval Armour Set. (Which is available for Dervishes and paragons.)

It's really not that bad when you think about it. Two things to consider:

1 - You're going to feel like playing another profession eventually, at least for a little bit or to experience the other campaign beginnings.

2 - The Valor monument requires a 15 different weapons. Customising a bunch of swords, wands, etc and other items to your Derv that you'll never ever need again is a waste of money (they're at least 50k each). When you put caster and non-Derv weapons in, you might as well put them in on a character that will use them.

Not true. There is no problem here. You are correct in saying Assassins and Rits don't have a Primeval armor set but you don't need one for the HoM. A Vabbian set is required, and that's available to all professions. Dervs and Paras are the only professions that cannot complete the monument on their own.

Heroes like shinies.

[email protected]: ally my HoM weapons were added and customised by my mesmer. I do have other PvE characters and i do not feel like i'm wasting money, as i could equip my sin and para for ~5k total (weapon-wise), so it doesn't matter that my Destro Daggers are sitting on a useless Zenmai.

Meh. If I'm spending 50k+ on a weapon, I'd want to get something better out of it than some random hero junk. Besides, with 15 weapons to acquire, and as a derv (who'll only really need scythes), you'll be bound to pick up some daggers or axes or something that are useless for heroes. It also doesn't change point #1. Anyway, lets not derail this into a weapons thread.

Huh...

I never considered that. There's really only 1 solution, methinks: new Kurzick/Luxon armor sets.

Alternatively: have more than one character. You have at least 6 slots if you have both of those campaigns; use them.

Since they A) said they won't be doing any more sets B) never added retroactive armor sets, the only solution I can see is the removal of the specific requirement for a Kurzick/Luxon Armor, perhaps replaced by a Kurzick/Luxon/Primeval requirement.
