Improve the Reward for NM Titan Quests
Slowpokeking
I think we should get some golds or zaishen coins just like the HM one rather than just XP. Those quests could be hard if without any heroes, if you are not prophecies characters you have to run all the back to Eastern Frontier.
Dewshine Wildclaw
Aaand how would this affect all those who already did the nm quests?
Yes they were/are hard depending on what you have to work with. But they are oldschool quests, that was more for the lore and the challenge than the reward. Sure the reward aint cool or much of a motivater, but they were fun to do those quests, which matters more than the reward.
I sorta understand why you want this, but I still think they should stay the way they are.

What's the reward going to affect the lore challenge?

Why I like the reward as is; it does not need to be gold weapons/5k,10k gold or Z-stuff as the titans have a HM version of it don't you think the reward is better for the HM1 leave the NM version alone.
Reformed
There was a point in time when people did quests simply to group with other human players and enjoy something really challenging. Rewards have become so bloated particularly during the transition to Live Teams it's comical and the game doesn't need any more of that. /notsigned

Just like Anet added green after you beat Prophecies, I think the difficulty and time of the titan quest deserve some reward other than XP.

HM is already exceptionally generous. If you are too lazy or too horrible at this game to complete those for their massive rewards (the rough equivalent of 100k total) then maybe you shouldn't be doing the Titan Quests to begin with. It's not gonna affect you...right?

At the time i did those, i used H/H and it was fairly easy. I still remember going WOW!! when i collected the reward.
They already give you 4x20k XP + 1x50k XP.
Thats pretty awsome for some NM stuff

Better idea: why don't we improve rewards for all NM content? Why should I do Minister Cho's Estate when I get nothing worthwhile out of it? What incentive is there? Anet should really add unique skin weapons for every profession for each mission in the game as a reward for players who take the time to play them.

I did that with all my characters, why would you think about only horrible/lazy people want improved reward? Just like Prophecies got its own green reward added, it does not mean people won't do it, it's just making things fair. You get reasonable reward after beat those 5 quests, what's wrong? WoC got 500-2k plus other stuff for reward each quest.

Plus, you will receive money after you finish it.

Like the Razah one, if you finished it before you can get the reward from Glint's vision.
What's the reward going to affect the lore challenge? |
What about the Razah one, I mean I completed the original quest to get Razah but stopped playing for a couple years not long after that.
I know they changed it now, but do you mean I can actually get something back for doing the original quest?
Thanks.

There used to require you to turn in 4 gemstones(1 for each type) to get into Heart of Abaddon, after the update, you can get those gemstones back if you turned in before.

Would a stack of ectos as reward for every NM quest satisfy you? |
Why people still use extreme examples? I never said we need some super good reward. Just some gold (Like 500g-1k) maybe with a few zaishen coins. Not to say WoC, even some EotN quests gave you 1k.
It's not going to affect you if your goal is really about get some challenge and fun or team with people, if you don't want it simply throw the reward away, like nobody force you to get the green weapon after you beat each campaign for the first time.

Point two: I understand what your saying about why should we take an end campaign reward IE the green weapon; well for me its like a way of thinking oh the people who we saved are grateful and are offering us this reward.
Its not like taking a quest from glint beating a few titans up and oh SHOULD I get a 1silver Z-coin and 1k for doing it NO! you have just been award a ton of exp and had the pleasure of doing said quest. Because it was us who helped to release the titans in the 1st place.....
What makes me wonder is why are we still discussing this when the simple answer from nearly all the GW players will be a dumb founding NO!

But seriously the GW live team have more pressing issues to content with, so this idea is bad for them to even consider it; but hey don't belive me post this little suggestion on there own forum.......

Point 2: Just a few Titans? I think you never pay attention the quest text.
Quote:
"Titan Lord Evirso Sectus and his army are amassing numbers out in Mineral Springs. We expect that as soon as the army is big enough they will attempt to overtake Droknar's Forge. Break through the ranks of titans to find the Lord and the rest of his underlings. Killing the Lord would put a huge dent in the titan force and convince the rest of them to retreat." "You're a sight for sore eyes, I've seen few of the living outside the walls of the city in the past few days. We have just recently secured the main gate though the cost to the Lionguard has been great. I haven't been able to spare any troops to investigate the situation at the settlement, I'd suggest you go find Captain Greywind out there immediately and see if they are safe." "Thank the gods, it's you! We were out scavenging for goods when a massive beast crossed our path, we lost many settlers to it before we managed to escape. The creature seems to have found more of its kind and they are not far behind." "Quickly, we haven't a moment to spare! Denravi has been overrun by Titans, and its citizens are in need of immediate aid. You must help them before this... plague... overcomes them and spreads to the rest of Tyria!" "Though many followed Prince Rurik in his quest to secure a better future for the people of Ascalon, there are those who remained behind. Despite the Charr threat, they could not bring themselves to leave the soil on which they had been born. Now, they are in grave danger. Ascalon's great walls and soldiers have withered in Rurik's absence. An old king dons his armor, heavy with time, to fight a battle he cannot win. It is his will alone that keeps Ascalon alive. Now it is up to you to make sure he too stays alive. Hurry to the Frontier Gate!" "Thank the gods you've come! King Adelbern is in desperate need of aid, and though I'd give my sword arm to fight beside him now, I am sworn to stay here and protect our citizens. The king has managed to push back those demon creatures from the Wall, but now he and a handful of soldiers are surrounded. The king's valor may have earned him a blessing from Balthazar in his youth, but he is no longer a young man. Lend a hand to our brave old king and save our people!" |

Again if you just want fun, throw the reward after your turn in the quest, how is it going to hurt your fun?
Where did I say ever quest have to reward us a lot? These are elite quests(compare to all the prophecies quests) after you beat the campaign.
Dewshine Wildclaw
Ok so you do have a point... sorta... But forget the zaishen coins... non of that please. Some gold? Well why not.... just a small symbolic reward to go with. 1k or something.
So I suppose I can /sign for adding a bit of gold for them.
However it is not overly important, most people can live without as these few pages seem to show. Should it happen, I would not be complaining really.

A few titans to me is like 100's of em to you but 1 I enjoyed doing that on 25 toons only 5 of them was prophices born rest from factions and kama
Also I can't see how GW live crew can reinstate reward for a quest which was done yonks ago
yes I agree to the point but not now so late in the game look towards the rest of gw life; gw beyond not the past

If the quest doesn't "have to reward us a lot", why do the quest rewards for the titan quests have to be increased? Besides, the elite status of these quests is already reflected in the fact that they have better xp rewards than other prophecies quests. If you want to have more goodies for killing the titans, do the hard mode versions of them.

If you just want lots of rewards for doing easy quests, don't bother doing the titan quests, as nobody is forcing you to do them. May I recommend visiting Cantha, as they throw lots of rewards at you for doing trivial quests there.

Because it's a elite quest chain compare to most of the quests(especially the Prophecies ones), it should have something other than XP. XP got not much use compare to money in GW. Unless you are working on skill hunter of survivor it, these XP are pretty useless.

If a reward for something isn't worth it, don't do it. Don't try to weasel a way around things so you will do it. That's being greedy.
Concise Description: Anyone who would sign for this... are spoiled.

The thing is what about the people who want the exp but can't cos they changed the quest to you recieve 1k exp 500gold and a shiny weapon that to me is a worse reward then the 50k exp

So keep the XP reward, or you can make a choice between these stuff, it's not a big deal.

Your sole argument for raising the quest rewards for the titan quests in normal mode is that you say they are hard quests and should be rewarded accordingly.
However.....
1 - titan quests in normal mode aren't hard, even with henchmen. If you're finding them tough, look at your own character's build first.
2 - the rewards you are asking for are those currently given for the hard mode versions of the quests, so are you suggesting that the hard mode quest versions should have their rewards increased as well?
3 - if the rewards for the titan quests in normal mode don't match your expectations based on what you see for other quests, why aren't you arguing for the rewards for other quests to be reduced? That would achieve the same result for you (consistency of rewards for quest difficulty), those that play the game for fun can still play the game for fun, and everyone will be happy?

2-No, it's ok for now, near 40k and 5 gold coins.
3-Because most of these quests' reward fit their difficulty and more people will go against reduce reward.

What you're saying OP is that quests added in 2005(!) need to have their rewards increased to scale according to difficulty with quests added in 2011. What many, myself included, are trying to tell you is that reward-creep has gotten very out of hand (see: WoC). It doesn't need to be made worse by retroactively adding in rewards when the progression through the NM versions is already required and incentivized by the very generous rewards in their HM counterparts.

Like: option 1: 50k exp, option 2: 1k 500 exp, option 3: 100 exp and 5 silver z-coins.
Don't you think that would be stupid to say the least and pretty much take forever to code into the game as it would require all new dialouge
Again leave the old quests alone there has been too many high reward's from nightfall, factions and WiK,WoC,Eotn we do not need to spoil prophs that would ruin the best thing about GW.
As the option system would get winers going why isnt it in all of the game so on soforth

Just for the fun of it, i went with a friend to do the NM version of the Defend Droknar's Forge quest, it was fun and was like a walk in the park.
Once done we rezoned, and when at it again in HM ( i have the HM one active, he's got the NM one)
With the same all around HM team i use on a regular base, we were licked, slapped and mailed home with no return adress.
There are WAY much more titans in HM, they are lvl 36-40 with attributes according to their lvl.
Of all the quest i've done, both version have the best reward i've seen and getting some Zcoin for the HM version goes according to the difficulty lvl on the quest.
If you dont like the rewards as they are now, just move on to some other stuff.
You want those Z coins? Breeze trought the NM version then have a go on the HM version and enjoy the pain.
