Friend's List Tag
Essence Snow
Just thought it would be nice to have a tag color for friend's on fl so you could find them in towns/outpost more readily. It would be mainly for those on fl that are not in your ally, kinda like the gold ally tags but for your fl.
North Dragon Slayer
if you want to know where they are why not just ask , "hey man where are you?" really, why ask for dumb updates

I have always wanted this feature, but it never got implemented. Hopefully, this easy 'fix' will be in GW2.

I like it but sadly it's not gonna happen.

I don't think it's a stupid idea. However, I think I'd rather have the team working on other more important fixes at the moment.
Not everything is such an easy fix. Game programming/maintenance is a lot more complicated than some people seem to think it is. Some things they simply can't fix without re-writing thousands of lines of code.

What you are implying....
you~"hey where are you?"
them~ "I'm by the chest!"
you~"there's tons of ppl by chest"
them~"I'm the derv"
you~"there's 5 dervs there"
them~"I'm the one on the right"
What I'm implying....
you~"where are you?"
them~"aed1"
you~(hold cntrl and their tag is color highlighted) "gotcha"
Idk....just thought it would be nice since I would rather have this then the ally highlight, since im more likely to group via fl than ally tag
Olle
well good idea, but the "what i'm implying" part can be countered with
add him to you party..

I like the idea, I found it rather rude the way North Dragon Slayer put it. It'd be a nice feature for the reason above but its not likely to be implemented in GW, it'd be nice it the team considers it for GW2 tho.

Reverend Dr
I want aliases for the friends list.

So it would be detracting asking the live crew to work on GW1? I thought working on GW2 was based on the GW2 crew and not soo much on the GW1 live crew.

theres bigger problems to be dealt with before.
Shenro
Well if you found out What district they are in
Simply copy and Paste there Name(While in same district of course) into party box bar (where henchmen name appears if you click them) Click invite and boom found them.

Here would be an alternative idea..
We can already see the outpost a mutual friend is located in. Now if we clicked their name in the friend's list while in the same outpost, it would target them. Possible also showing a [+] sign next to their names allowing to send invites without having to type their names? While at it, it should also show current guild/alliance members on the same map to more easily party up.

afk, middle of battle middle of a trade etc, people often forget to set their status every time they are busy.
Tags that could easily locate people you select could be useful, though I guess it could be abused most things are.
Is it very important no so it its a difficult thing to program then forget it, if its fairly straightforward then add it to the list of game improvements.
