Display Toons Birthday on Character Screen / Birthday Presents For Players BDAY
Soulfire Ninja
It would be convenient if The Birthday of each toons could be displayed in the character selection menu. Makes it better than to go to each toon and type /age.
Also Birthday Presents for Player's actual birthdays. That would be sweet! So of course Anet would add something where we insert our actual birthdays so then anet would know when to send us our gifts. GREAT IDEA! I KNOW IT IS!

I like the idea, but gw comming "Soon" it would be rather useless, since most ppl has had their toons last bday(before moving to gw2 that is)

I'm sure anet could be opened to this idea soon even with gw2 on its way. I do find it interesting anet is doing a lot now with woc as they are doing more. I rememember after game quests was asked before and no one though anet woul, but proved a lot of players wrong. I'm sure anet might do something regarding bdays minus ignore the idea. Gotta love Anet. :-D

Player birthday presents? lol no.
Display character birthday on char select screen? definitely yes.
What does the /age command have to do with it? that won't tell you your character's birthday. Unless you note down the age in months, then use the command every day until the age changes. If preferring to have it listed on the char select screen with the other char info rather than check every character's age every day for a month makes me lazy, then so be it.
People really need to stop automatically jumping on the "lazy" reply every time anyone suggests anything. It's getting stupid.

The "lazy" bandwagon has nothing to do with an action that requires nearly nothing time wise for the average player. Though no exact date is supplied, you get a rough estimate. Given the amount of info the /age command gives, is a little surprise that bad?
You are given a month to prepare for your characters birthday. If the exact date is of such importance, rather then taxing the servers with even more data that needs to be stored for the overwhelming number of characters in the game, write it down. PvP only characters alone would take up a good bit of space!

Typing /age takes no effort whatsoever, this is not nearly worth the developer maybe, possibly considering taking seriously.

The data is already stored on the servers. If it wasn't, there wouldn't be any presents because the server wouldn't know when each char's bday was in order to give a present. All the OP suggests is display that...
gremlin
Not bothered one way or the other I long ago listed all my characters and the date on a note pad.

8 of 20.....
Been suggested so many times before, but then you wouldn't know that because you'd prefer to break forum rules by not using the search function.....
Do you have any idea how many players there are registered in GW? Seriously, the live team have more important things to be spending their time and money on....

While I do think most of your ideas is a bit silly, I like this one.
Birthday on character screen is /signed.
But please, try restrain yourself making too many suggestions.

Timer counting down to birthday on the the character select screen?
Pointless. To be honest, the timer would annoy me more than help me.
Getting presents on your actual birthday?
Which character would they put the present on? People would have to log in and check each character's bags one by one until they find the gift. I'm sure the next response would be to place it in storage so that any character can open it, but there are a lot of players, including myself, who have full storage.
And what about player's who have been playing for 5-6 years?
Do they get 5-6 presents automatically? They have been playing past several birthdays, and got nothing for it, so why should new people who happen to have a birthday after the update get one?
And what about people whose birthday is the day before the update?
Do they get anything?
I swear Soulfire Ninja, if you don't start using that space between your ears before you make a thread, I will personally come disconnect your internet to save you the trouble of making more people dislike you. For your own good.

would be really nice to know what anet thinks are my characters bdays (since I rarely get prezzies on those dates--and hubby gets his oldest toons on the date they created our guild--which was in pre-searing moneys--many days, perhaps weeks after the creation of said toon since it wasnt created IN presearing at all--)....however, since I do get the presents sometime close to the dates I think (and have screenshots of) ...it doesnt really matter------if you have problems remembering the dates...write them down somewhere (or like I did--create an excel spreadsheet with all character info).

The suggestion to have a method to see our characters' birth dates has been suggested many times before, most commonly through the /age command. Examples of such threads can be found here and here.
Likewise, the idea of having birthday presents being given out on the player's birthday rather than the characters' has also been suggested before here.
