Hi

sorry if this is in the wrong section or has been asked before, but I am looking to buy a brand new computer and since the CD keys are used on my GW account, then how do I install GW from my existing CDs to the new computer but using the same CD key?

Do I need to buy the game again?

No because the keys are locked to your account, so all you have to do is download the client, open it and let it download the game files and updates. Alternitavely you can manually install Guild Wars version 1.0 with the discs then it only has to download the updates.

You can download the game client off the official Guild Wars website.

if you are really lazy you can just copy the guild wars folder to the new computer. Click gw.exe let it install and run then just log in as usual.

Just to clarify things....
You don't need the CD key to install GW - you need the CD key to set up an account. You already have an account, so, no worries.

You can sort of think of GW as being similar to these forums and your browser. Once you set up an account for these forums, you can access them from any browser, on any computer, by using the proper username and password.
Similarly, once you set up a GW account, you can access it from any GW installation, on any computer, using the proper password and username.

As has been said, there are several ways to install GW on your new computer. The easiest is like Draca said - simply copy the entire Guild Wars folder from your old machine to your new one and run gw.exe (in the folder).
Or you can install from the CDs and let it update. Or you can just download the client from the GW website and run it.

Btw, there are, of course, several ways to copy GW from your old computer. You could use a flash drive or external USB hard drive. Or use a DVD-R. Or copy it over a network connection between the two computers.
