Mo/A Vaettir farming & random deaths

Alright, so I use the usual pvxwiki vaettir farm build with Great Dwarf Armor.
Sometimes however, I don't know if it's the 75% block chance that's not applying or if it's just not enough armor, but I just keep randomly taking too much damage and ending up dying.
Sometimes, it all works wonder and I don't drop below 50%.
Sometimes I get the insane hpregen but I take like 5-10dmg (all the time) which ends up with me dying.
Anyone know why?

I have 2 monks which I made into legendary survivor(LS) while using a Mo/A. I did it during the easter event, and I used the eggs to boost my attributes. Conveniently you can do the same using corn, as it is Halloween this weekend.

I ended up reducing my attack skills in favor or shielding hands. You will still do enough damage, albeit a tad slower, but if your goal is to make a LS, the added protection from shielding hands served me well.

Make sure you recast your enchants as soon as they recharge as the +5 Armor Reduction Stacks until the previous enchant was due to run out.

Eg. 62 Second Shroud recharges in 45 Seconds gives +5 Armor under Shadow Form. Recast when it recharges and it boosts another +5 armor for the next 17 seconds until the first shroud was due to run out. Wiki page for SF probably explains it better.

Also...the A/Me Arcane Wastrels build is a lot faster than the A/Mo build TBH. Just a matter of getting your timing right.

Alright, so I'm still taking randomly 29 damage.
And I think it's something up with Shroud that's either making me take 0 dmg or 4-6dmg from auto attacks really rapidly.

Should you not be facing the Vaettir thus taking less damage? only thing i could think of cause bar that it looked all spot on.

Just asked a mate of mine who runs M/A and his atts are
shadow arts 12
smiting 11 (9+1+1)
protection 10 (9+1)
deadly arts 3

Protection? I don't have any protection skills so I don't see how that would be useful.
Does he replace GDA with Shielding Hands?

Found out that random 29 dmg is because my hat has 5 armor, which is probably why.
I still don't understand why I take 5-6auto attack hits all the time instead of 0

Replace one of your smites with Way of Perfection (at least, that's the bar I use anyway). Had 0 probs getting to LS despite the fact I don't farm at all, except the one time I pressed Shadow Form first before Deadly Paradox.

The additional Assassin enchantment helps damage reduc (see Shadow Form desc).

make sure u are using +10 vs earth shield (inscribable) and blessed insignias on all pieces

edit: just watched your vid.....cast both sf and shroud under deadly paradox....it helps

I'm appreciating all the replies guys, thanks!
I have a +10 vs earth.
And casting Shroud during DP doesn't negate the 5-6rapid dmg I keep taking every now and then.
If you look at the video, I take 0 dmg during the first cooldown wave, and when they wear off, I start taking a lot of damage again and end up dying.

You could do with another long lasting sin enchantment, and when they are reloaded cast them again right away. 2 sin enchantments bring the damage I receive to 0. There is some kind of stacking bug that you need to abuse.

I use the exact same mo/a build as you did in your video. I take dmg as well, during 1 of 3 casts, but runs go off w/o a hitch.

As long as all aggro is on you tightly, it'll only take 2 (2 casts symbol, 2 casts balth aura). If any aggro is not then it'll take more to finish those not aggro'd. (ofc assuming your smiting high enough to get 21 dmg for every pulse)

Okay, here's what I'm going to do for you I'll post you the best Mo/A vaettir build around. Just you gotta practice with it, it's a 55 monk. here's the bar, OwcU40H6lPP8o6hOrBmFvHQE5BA always cast prot spirit b4 sf , so do this Deadly->prot-> SF in that order, you should always be hit for 0 damage.
