I've been trying to cart EotN while vanquishing and had two problems so far.

Don't bother with the odd bit you can't get.

You will get 1000 points easy WITHOUT mapping thoroughly, and provided you do all dungeons in HM, you won't need to do all of them in sissy NM

There is plenty of "wiggle room:.

Go with what you got, do everything but Slaver's in NM and HM and just do Slaver's in HM. I didn't even need to VQ Drakkar Lake, thank goodness.

like stated above, those points don't really matter, Carto only gives 100 points in total (1 point for each percent), those two spots are less then 0.1%. So if that is the only part your missing your not missing much, specially cause there is 104% in total to uncover, so you prolly already gone over the 100%.

Concentrate on the rest and you will see you don't need it.

The black spot in your first picture - isn't that a cave, can't you go in there (or am I remembering that wrong)?

Drakkar Lake is considerably easier I find, its easy even compared to some of the other EoTN maps to vanquish. Alcazia Tagnle and Magus Stones are much harder imo...

However, I still have 3 maps to vanquish and have 949 EoTN master points. Those three maps will only give me 45 points so I will be at 994, so I think I'm going to have to try harder carting.

Then you are fine, wait for Forgewright to be a bounty and then Duncan's dungeon will be enough to finish it for you. As for the pieces, you can do them in any mode, only Duncan's death counts for the NM/HM. Ask around if you can to get someone to help, although NM is doable with heroes. The only catch is once Duncan is dead you nee to do the whole thing over again the get him in the other mode.
