So one year on, were the mausoleum triple drop items nerfed?
1 pages • Page 1
All old items exist unchanged but it seems they nerfed the possibility of ANY interesting drop in the Mausoleum, not just triple-modded ones.
Assumption based on 3 runs: the area is now 100% tyrian. Instead of a mix of some Tyrian and some EotN parameters. I suppose this change also caused all the door and wall objects used to separate dungeon parts to disappear.
Sad news as I've really hoped for doing a ton of runs for various cool unique items, like inherent Scythes, Spears, Para shields, and EotN skin weaps with +dmg/-degen inherent.

Salvatore and I did two runs - one NM, and one HM (yes HM is possible this year). Zero chests, no gold drops at all, and as Yawgmoth said, all drops were Tyrian. Last year, I believe that I got at least one chest on every run, and sometimes up to three.
I can't imagine why they felt a complete change was necessary. I would've thought that fixing the glitch that enabled the triple-modded items to drop would've been enough. I was looking forward to spending some time running through there again this year, and I'm sure there were a lot of others who felt the same.
Complete fail on ANet's part.

Only hope left is - due to fixed HM this year - it could be possible that a full 8man team would maybe get drops like gold uninscript Tyrian Sickles? But i guess the only reason it dropped last year was because it has an inscript EotN version as well.

I still think its sad that the one year old triplemods are out there. (i got one) If there was found a quick fix to search and delete them all I wouldnt mind. But now we have exactly what was the intent to avoid. A few people have these rare things that arent available anymore and can have a small advantage over others and possiblysell them for a high price. Thats sad. I don't mind loosing mine but since there are appearently no easy way to do it, then why not just leave them be and make more drop?
Couldn't really care less about the triple-modded stuff. I'd love to have a nice 15^50 scythe or spear though. Or a +5en spear like a Draconic or Serrated. There was also the draw of possibly getting Tyrian skin Sickles, Serpent Axes, and Tribal Axes.
As I see it, if they had just fixed the triple glitch (and made everything drop truly uninscribable rather than sorta half and half), it would've been a win-win. Oldschool fans get the draw of EotN skins dropping uninsc, most casual players wouldn't even notice, and everyone's happy. Instead, they apparently removed all the chests, switched the drops to 100% Tyrian, and took something interesting and enjoyable out of the game.
Lame all around.

It's been well over a year since these items first dropped. Almost a year since the last info was released from Anet stating these items would be removed from the game. They have not been removed. Is it possible that the Moderators would finally allow the items to be sold on guru? There are many people who have held onto the items, and would like to sell them here instead of spamming in Kamadan. Guild Wars is near completion with Guild Wars 2 likely being released in the next few months. Most of us have done everything in the game, and would like to clear of our last few checklist items before venturing on to the next chapter. I know there have been several threads discussing the matter. I would like to get one last chance at resolving this dispute before moving on to Guild Wars 2. Thanks.
sry I was away from gw for the past year and I understand that this mausoleum quest dropped uninscribable items in the form of nightfall skins (such as q9 draconic spear 15^50 uninscrib - which is rare and would be worth lots) But what are these "tripple-modded" items you are referring to and can they be traded??
thanks
