Changing the "Party Bar" in Costume Brawl (PvP) to reflect which team you're on
AntarA
In Costume Brawl (Seasonal PvP), It can get confusing as to which team you are on. There has been multiple accounts where I have assumed I was on the opposing team.
My suggestion to fix this problem would be to add a color orientated "Party Bar".
Red Bar (Default) for the red team
Blue Bar (New) for the blue team (Maybe the blue you use for "Enter Battle" button)

It does this already. It's faded, but you should be able to see blue or red outlining the players names

I haven't done CB yet this year, but any time I'm in color-swapping PvP formats, at the start of every match I look at the radar and say out loud, "We are red, they are blue," or vice versa. I'm teased by anyone in the room, but I never lose track of what color I am.
Or, as indicated by WarcryOfTruth, you could just stretch your party bar out past the default so you can see the background color better.
I think color-changing health bars would be jarring.

Heh. Well, now you know my real, private reason for not syncing RA with TS/Vent. Shhh....

All of your reasons are valid, but I was just making the comment to make it easier to notice. If you are "in the zone" so to speak, The last thing I am doing is checking to see which color I am until one of the teams have made a point (Vice-Versa) Even if they added a statement on the party bar that stated (Red Team) or (Blue Team)
It's not that someone can't find which team they are on, but just to make it more obvious so you don't have to look around to see who is who, which can cause you to lose concentration on opponents capping ect.

I have to admit, when I've been playing for a few hours straight, I sometimes get a bit lost and need to check during a match what color I was again.
Maybe I should just listen to ANet's "please take a break" suggestions.

The color change has always bothered me (not only in costume brawl). A simple solution would be that the own team is always blue and the enemy team is always red. That way, the color confusion is eliminated and red resigning is impossible.

The obvious indicators are there. Use them.

It happens to me sometimes, but for some reason only in Costume Brawl.
Not once I get confused with colors in other formats.
I think it's the Observer health bars. Those bars are colored, but when you are playing, the bars are red, and you have to pay attention to the back ground of the panels.
Maybe they should make that background more noticeable, by making it brighter and increasing the saturation a bit.

You are very disrespectful and the above post was uncalled for. You are making accusations and as I already stated to the other posts; there are of course ways to verify your team color but there are times when you are looking at what you need to cap first. So when the other team and your team are both fighting for a Shrine (BC) You have not taken into consideration what team you are on. A simple comment on your party bar or something in relation that is permanent is useful. I know other players would agree with that.
