Well, here's the skinny... I logged into my GW account to re-experience Halloween again and realized that I hadn't changed the password in forever or so so I figured it's probably a good idea to do so. When I tried to do so from the login screen I realized the account name is tied to an email account I had some six years ago but no longer do. I didn't change the password fearing it would send the new one to a now defunct email.
Is it possible to change the email address/account name? I'm starting to worry I may lose access to the HOM when GW2 goes live.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(I do still have some of the old keys from box purchases if those are needed for account verification...)
Thanks!
Can I change the account name somehow?

No, it's not possible to change the account name, but it is possible to have a valid e-mail address tied to your account. The 'e-mail address' that is used as the account name is only used as the default if no other address is present on the account.
At this point you are going to need to contact GW support and be prepared to supply proof of ownership (CD keys, etc.).

You can change your password after logon, They reccomend you using NCSoft's website as a more secure function (It allows you to use multple charateristics, as in game password changing it doesn't recognize special characters: $,#, ect.) Though if you could take pictures of your keys and boxes of the games you purchased and contacting NCsoft support and explain to them you no longer have access to that email, I am sure they will work with you on changing it.
But the in game password changer you do not need to access your email.
Best of luck,
Dan

Thank you all, I'll have a crack at it this evening.

Already been said, but I'll add one more confirmation that it is possible.
My original email/account name has long since been deleted and I had no way of accessing it. Because of this I couldn't change my password without contacting support each time and waiting for a reply. Just two weeks ago I asked for the account name to be changed and thankfully they did.
