For some reason certain NPCs are doing odd animations. They take a few steps forward and jump. On landing they rubberband back to the start and go again. It isn't all NPCs. For example, in the guild hall the merchant and dye merchant will do the running jump but the rune and scroll guys won't. They just stand there as usual. The mime in Tihark Orchard does it too, so I can no longer get masters on that. When NPCs die they sometimes just stand there. The Keren Thackery solo quests are also unplayable. He stays in a acrdboard cut out stance, and while he can move around he won't attack (no limb movement, just floats about). Some chars will not show the emote they do either.
I copied GW to an external hard drive and tried it on the main PC (with the jumping NPCs) and they still jumped off the copy. I took the external hard drive to an old PC and it worked fine. Has anyone else had this?
Here are the specs: Intel Core Duo E8600 @ 3.33GHz, 6 GB RAM, 64-bit, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275, using Windows 7.
Any idea on what it could be?

I've had the same problem, a year ago. Re-installing fixed it for me. It is kinda funny to see tho.

It means your GW.dat file is corrupt. Nothing to worry about. A simple reinstall should fix the issue

Delete the DAT, acquire a new one by relaunching the game. Look up the "-image" command from the wiki on how to download a new one.

I've deleted the DAT file before. I've ran the same client from an external hard drive on multiple PCs. The only one that had a problem was this PC. Therefore it can't be the DAT file.

Ive seen something like this..just not with NPCs.
Long ago anyone playing Female Ritualist used to do /ready every 5 secounds on my screen, even if they swore they were in a dance sync.
No idea what caused it as i keep a clean, defragged .dat, but eventually it stopped on its own accord.
