I hope I am expressing this correct, is there a service offered by players who create a new toon in pre-searing Ascelon to transport items to Old Ascelon?

If so how is the agreement handled by both parties? The courier could end up keeping the items and not return them. The service would be very useful assuming both sides could be trusted. Players staying the pre-searing could farm items such as dye and transport them to be stored or sold.

There are always people do tend to offer this service, but with any service it's buyer beware. You never know if you'll end up getting ripped off or not.
Thus it's always best if you have a second account that you can use to ferry items; Or ask an officer in your guild perhaps...

Being scammed is a valid concern, since a high level of trust is involved. Most people use an alt account and do it themselves, but if you don't have an alt, you'll have to find someone you trust.

A guild leader/officer is a good choice. Also, you could try posting your plea in the PreSearing.com forums. They're a pretty tight-knit group and could probably hook you up with a trusted, reliable smuggler.

You can consider a hostage deal if the courier has some high-value, customized item on his Post account. He can give your Post character that item to hold, which you will then return when his courier delivers. Since the item is customized, you can't use it so you have no motive not to give it back. Consider it as sort of a performance bond.

Thanks for all the great answers. I ended up trusting someone I knew for years. Normally I would do this with my brother but the idiot has all his slots full. I sent my dye and goods with a character called "Charr Pizza Company". They arrived in Old Ascelon without a problem he kept 230 Gold as payment.
