Europe or Asia/Australia?
Rise of Cpu
I currently live in gmt +8, I am coming back to the game, really preparing for gw2. I have been moving a lot, where I would always be moving timezones. So right now, I'm hoping someone can give me a recommendation of what you all think is best for me? for instance whether I should be in a guild thats European or Australian/Asian? I'm basing all this around activity levels for when i am online. Even if you guys recommend American guilds would be better for me, I will look into it.
Thanks guys! x
Thanks guys! x

I'd personally go for a GMT +8 guild where most are online around the same time as you. Or just a huge super big guild that have members from all over playing all times of the day :P
Rise of Cpu
Do you have any recommendations? Thing is i'm not from asia, i'm portuguese/english, so I won't be able to speak any languages based in gmt +8. Australia is sort of in the same timezone, no? Do you know of any guilds?
EPIC noob
LOL you make it sound like american guilds are a bad thing... ok they are i admit it. over the past few years i have been in a few guilds and all the american based guilds are well... kill kill kill. you are not killing enough kill some more. have you killed today?
i am always looking for a guild without all the 'drama' but no i haven't found my place yet. i guess if i could find a canadian guild that would be cool.
well i guess i can't comment on those asian guilds since i don't speak the lingo. keep tossing darts at the board until you hit a bullseye? if anyone has suggestions for a guild without the drama i would love to know too. i just go solo until someone invites me then i normally end up leaving or getting tossed out.

Naaah i'm not saying American guilds are bad. But they won't be online when I am, if you get what i mean? I used to be in American guilds and they were awesome mate. There are really a lot of committed guilds out there with time on their hands to be there for their members, overall community.

The guild I'm in is American-based I think, but I'm in Australia and they're more often than not active during the daytime here.
Kada
but hey CPU if you PM me your IGN I can send you an invite to ours we're in an Australian/NZ based alliance, so we're ranging from GMT 8 to 11.
Rise of Cpu
My ign is Rise Of Cpu thank you so much for being helpful everyone. Right now its going to take me another day to get sorted onto my account since there's some complications lol! But I'm def keen are you inbetween those timezones then?
Kada
"You invited Rise Of Cpu to join the guild."
I'm currently living in Australia which is why I jumped at the chance to join a guild based in these timezones so I'm in GMT +10. The Ally is full of active people so Ally Chat is constantly running with helpers and dungeon runs and advice.
We aren't limited to Asia-Pacific players though, we do have some US and UK based players in with us too so we generally always have at least one person active and about.

I am from Sydney and I speak fluent Spanish.
Happy to have you in our alliance, people from US, Euro and an Aussie or two.
Contact me and I will speak to you a little more.
Oh you have been sent an invite btw.

I think American guilds are the best choice since they are 12 hours behind, thus you get to meet them at night when they just wake up. Australian guilds are also awesome.
Rise of Cpu
I don't think people over in America wake up first thing in the morning just to play Guild Wars and do proper runs....So I think in order for that to happen, I would have to be up in the morning playing with them. Which would only work on weekends for me. I want to be an all roundly week player in a guild which can play pretty much every night for a bit
Thanks both of you for the invites. But I think Kada is a better choice for me, since his alliance and guild is based in the similar timezone needed for me.

Not much we can answer here - as different guilds will be more/less active at different times (and no always based upon what timezone they are based in). I'm going to close this thread.. and suggest that if your looking for a guild..
Guild Recruitment - forum where guilds post ads for players
Looking for Guild - forum where players post looking for guils.
I'd suggest you go through those forums, post in the Looking for Guild forum and discuss time zones and player activity with the guilds that respons and/or guilds posting in the recruitment section.
