Well, we have piercing hammers after all...why not a slashing hammer? The Sephis Axe is totally a two-handed skin anyway. Blunt swords and blunt daggers have made an entrance...not to mention piercing axes. Now we just need a piercing sword (such as a foil or rapier), AND a blunt axe, though I have no idea what that would be... :P Mace? Maybe one of the wand skins...

Dont qoute me on this one, but arent there pvp-only skins like a blunt sword and a (another, i know of the 1st one) piercing hammer?
Pre Warrior Dude
Why are these necessary? One weapon that does an alternative form of damage for each weapon is enough

The runic blade could make a piercing sword. It's pretty slim and stabby

A 'slashing' hammer would be a "Great Axe".
I have the opinion than instead sword, axe and hammer, warriors should have had "light weapons" (small swords, axes and maces), "heavy weapons"(big one-handed swords axes, and maces) and "two-handed weapons" (two handed swords, axes, hammers and polearms).
But now it's too late for such a change, so we can only just add 'disguised weapons' that look like something else but keep already existing mechanics.
It's not rare to have weapons disguised as other weapons, like daggers disguises and knuckles and Jitte and swords disguised as batons or Jitte, or wands that look like fans, or foci that look like daggers.
Considering there are more skills that specifically increase armor vs slashing or piercing damage than vs Blunt, making a hammer deal Slashing damage isn't an advantage, so it shouldn't be a problem when it comes to balance.
It would only give more 'visual' options, and even if they look like axes, a warrior looks the same when wielding a hammer anyways, and if they just want to trick others about the weapon they are using until they start using skills, they can always just swap weapons.
