Closed: Shields - non-inscribable, dual modded (pics inside) | Tetsubo 15^50

Will be trying to sell (hopefully) these items in the near future. As I prefer to keep my sale threads short and sweet, I'm hoping to have a fairly solid idea of fair buyout prices right from the start.

Can I please get some opinions on the value of the items pictured/listed below?

Guessing this is probably ~15k, maaaybe up to 20k?

17. Axe Grip of Demonslaying 10%
It is highly unlikely anyone would use this for fighting demons (can't rule it out completely considering the number of nutters that play this game ). However, more and more with each passing day, I am being made aware of the crazy collections people have out there. Would this little piece have a place in such collections? Just curious to hear people's opinions rather than PC advice for this. (Oh, and if it really is completely worthless, I already have a backup plan for it hehehehehe! )

PC advice: 10-15k; LR 1k

4. Wooden Buckler, req 10 tac, reduced Dazed, -2/st

5. Tower Shield, req 9 str, -2/en, +45hp/en
Tried to get this PCed recently. There was only one response @ 20-30e, but guy wasn't sure.
PC advice: ~20-40e; LR ~15e?

6. Bronze Shield, req 9 tac, +43hp/en, -2/en
PC advice: 50-100k; LR ~30-40k?

7. Reinforced Buckler, req 11 tac, reduced Weakness, +10 vs Slashing
PC advice: merch-5k; LR 1k

8. Round Shield, req 10 tac, +41hp/en, +10 vs Ogres Thanks for help on this - do not need any further PCs.
(Was thinking of donating this to someone collecting ogre stuff, and will probably just do that if the consensus is to merch it otherwise.)

9. Tetsubo Hammer, req 9, 15^50, non-insc
Tried searching for recent PCs but only found inscribable ones. Req 9s were said to be ~20-30k? So guessing a non-inscribable one would be valued higher, maybe 50-60k?
PC advice: 50-75k; ~45k; LR ... some luny formula! (I'll stick to the guys' figures on this one, thanks)

Was told that these hammers are quite rare as non-inscribables. Was going to merch it because of the undesired inherent, but was *cough* persuaded to get it PCed, just in case.

Any opinions?

The following are my personal estimates and are what I would go for if I was trying to sell these items:

1. Bladed Shield:
r9 with 2 mods which is good, but one is imperfect and the combo isnt exactly desired (afaik) This one is hard to say with and honestly I would *think* you get at least 100k for it, but thats mostly a wild stab in the dark

2. I would merch it honestly, the second mod is junk. And the small skin is not as desired. I suppose there might be a market for it as a PvP shield? Even if there is, I wouldnt expect more than like 10k

3. dazed and a -2 enchant mod isnt the worst combo out there, but not the best. Coupled with the skin, I would think 10-15k at most

4. stance vs enchant makes the difference and I feel confident calling this one merchfood

5. I think 20-30e isnt a bad guess at this one. 2 perfect matching mods is nice, and the skin while not rare isnt ugly (and I think people want it?) Anyways, I would s/b it at 20e and not be surprised if it went a bit higher than 30 into the ~40 range

6. I'm not sure how desired the skin is, but the mods arent bad, and they do match. I would guess the 50-100k range and lean towards the lower end

7. Similar to item 2, but a higher req and a worse skin means I think merchfood/MAYBE 5k

8. Unless you find someone who wants the armor mod on it, I would merch this

9. 50-75k would be my guess. And I would lean to the high end of that guess, with the thought that there is a decent chance it could go higher

10. ~10k seems fair for this (Take this with a grain of salt, because there is a good chance I'll PM you to buy this one )

11. r10 and a hexed mod makes it merchfood to me. Although your fairy godmother might know more about the rarity of non-insc versions of this than I do

More like ~45k for the Tetsubo imo.
10-15k for the Scimitar (Just to assure you that FFF won't be ripping you off :P)

The ogres Round Shield and Scimitar have new owners now, and the Melon Hammer is ... umm... no longer in storage. So those items no longer need PCs. (Thank you!)

Wouldn't mind more opinions on the shields in Part 1 though (otherwise I'd have to just go with Fred's prices for those ).

Ok, since you found the weak spot in my armor against shameful guilt trips with that PM earlier ...

I'm not really sure how to PC buyout targets for any of this, but I'll try to give best guesses on reasonable reserves to start with.


12. Tall Shield, req 10 tac, -2/st, reduced Crippled
The things I see going for this one are the popularity of Tall Shields and the "dual inscription" mod combo which might be useful to niche and/or running builds.
Were it mine, I would set a reserve of maybe 5k and just see who wanted it most.


13. Bladed Shield, req 10 tac, +9 vs Slashing, +42hp/st
The thing I see going for this one is the skin! There seem to be a lot of folks looking for these in "nice" versions lurking around these days. To them, this might look nice-ish.
I'd set a reserve of maybe 10-15k and again, just see who wanted it most.


14. Amber Aegis, req 11 str, -3/hexed, reduced Dazed
It's got the skin going for it, but that may be about it. The mods are "dual inscription," yeah, but they don't look particularly "Oh! I see a way to use that!" to my eye.
I'd set a reserve of no more than 5k on this one.


15. Bladed Shield, req 13 tac, +43hp/en, +10 vs Fire
Nice skin and the mods look to be a plausibly useful combination. The req 13 hurts a lot, but someone might still enjoy using this for the 8ar they'd get w/out meeting the req.
I'd set reserve around 5k here.


16. Morning Star Axe, req 9, 15^50, non-insc
Not really sure at all, as I've not noticed many either offered for sale or sought. If you can't figure a b/o target to start with, maybe r/b of ~12k for the r9-15^50-ooo-cantha-skinniness of it?


17. Axe Grip of Demonslaying 10%
I'm glad you kept it for a couple reasons:
- I hadn't realized slaying weapons could drop in that low a value.
- It's the first time I've ever wanted one of those prebuff 10/10 Sundering mods! Such potential! Surely demons would tremble at such oldschool leetness!
I'd say it's safe to say there is zero practical application for this thing. The only way it's worth more than merch is if it sparks a lulzy bid war, but I would not count on such a thing happening! Not at all!

- Like the Bladed above, I'm not sure how much you might reasonably expect here. I'd set r/b at 15k were it not for the much higher guesses of those before me. Given those, I might set r/b at 20k instead.

- Again, you should really trust others' opinions over mine when it comes to PC on these "good" inherent shields, but forced to guess I'd say r/b around 30-40k maybe?


9. Tetsubo Hammer, req 9, 15^50, non-insc
- I'd have guessed it would be worth significantly more than inscribable versions, since they seem such a rare drop as inherents. However, I am not at all well versed in the hammer trade! Were it mine to sell and I had to guess, I'd aim for a reserve around 75-80% of the "fair market value" PC on the inscribables if not 100% of such.


11.Melon Hammer, req 10, 15 vs hexed, non-insc
I still say it's quite unusual to hear of gold Melon Hammers, even if there's no market for them. Stop lookin' at me like that!
