If the shield is named "Eternal Shield of Devotion" then it's probably not merch food. The reason is because such a shield probably also has an inscription slot, and I would think an r9 Str inscribable Eternal Shield is certainly worth at least 20k (perhaps a fair bit more, I'm not sure.)

If the shield is named, simply, "Eternal Shield" then the +44wE you mentioned is an inherent mod. And Eternal Shields are not nearly so rare and desired for their single-modded inherent versions to be of much value. You *might* get a few plat for it, but that would take a long time to find an interested buyer I think. Were it mine, I'd merch it.
