I've been digging around these forums, pvx and general googling and i cant seem to find anything up to date on decent solo warrior builds, so i'm hoping someone here has some good suggestions
Mainly i'm looking for something i can solo farm with (maybe bring one or two heroes along for support) and do ok in the solo arena quests/challenges. Something with decent self healing and an interrupt seem mandatory, but there are so many options....
fyi, i've been playing an axe warrior so far (and would like to stick with that) I've beaten factions and a good portion of proph and nightfall. i've got a decent amount of money to open up new skills and secondary professions too.
Thanks!
Help with Solo Warrior Builds

1. If you are looking to farm holiday event items then raptor farm as a Warrior Necro is your best option: http://www.gwpvx.com/Build:W/N_Raptor_Farmer
This means you gotta complete EotN in order to get the dwarf, norn and asura skills.
All builds on GWPvX are up to date. There are other warrior farming builds, please look here: http://www.gwpvx.com/Special:PrefixIndex/Build:W/
2. If you are looking to do missions and explorable areas then EFGJack has several great builds for warriors, that he so kindly shares with us on guru. You can check this one out:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/p...t10434178.html
and this one: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/7...t10480309.html
3. Its time that you learned to be a versatile warrior... how to switch between sword, axe and hammer depending on the target....
4. Some areas in factions, can easily be farmed in NM for stacks of feather (which go for about 9k). Do youtube searches, and here on guru.

Is it me or is it a case that warriors dont really have that many solo farms compared to other professions - well except paragon which only 1 build/farm i can think of.
It often saddens me to see players choose warrior solely because they think they are ace tanks and can do a lot of farming , one guildie once tho new to gw decided on warrior just on the reason that the online game he played before that his warrior could do almost anything and was sadly proved wrong in gw.

Paragon has more than you would think, it is just as fast as the W/N for raptors, can be used for Vaettirs (albeit slower), and the dead sword farm. There are probably more you could adapt them for if you really wanted.

Dead sword farm was what i was thinking of but vaetires and raptors ( unsure tbh ) would need a bonder meaning its not solo.
I can also honestly say ive never yet seen a paragon farming raptors in all the time i was in an out of rata sum - i could compare to vaetires where ive seen only a few me/a farming them .

But back in the days before hard mode was introduced, you farmed with either Monk, or with Warrior. These farms still work, just don't expect the same mega loot you get from HM farms. Still good for materials though.
But many areas are still rather fast and reasonably rewarding to farm as a Warrior in NM, depending on what it is you are looking for exactly.

yeah, thats what i meant by solo (no heroes, or henchmen) as the loot is better right?
i looked thru the list of warrior builds on pvx and it doesnt seem like there are a lot of options for a true solo build. am i just missing something? the raptor farm build looks very specific to farmin just raptors, or does that pretty well work for everything?
i'm mainly just going for HoM points at this point too, so whatever gets the job done in the most efficient way is really what i'd like. Should i just try to powerlevel another class? i've heard a fair bit about elementalists having some very quick farming builds, or the seemingly very standard spirit spammer build

I've solo-farmed Smite Crawlers for over a year as a W/Rt. Pretty sure it still works, though it's slower than many other Professions. Lets see if I can find the build ..
Edit: A quick google gave me this. Most of the skills correspond with what I used, but you might need to play a bit with the skills if they've changed over the years. (Last time I farmed with it was pre-EotN I think)

The Build includes the following skills, Vengeful was Khanhei, Vengeful weapon, resilient weapon, watch yourself, dolyak signet, healing signet, bonetti's defence, and sprint. Other speed buffs would help as well. To start you'll need to get out of the chamber by using speed buffs to evade the Aatxes. After losing them they will return to its original location. This build is unable to defeat Aatxes so thus running would be a good idea. Upon entering you will need to get the quest from the Lost Soul. If you aggro and mobs you will have to sprint back to the cliff where you started. If you aggro a Dying Nightmare you should be able to kill it with Vengeful Weapon twice. Once you have received the quest many monsters will pop up on your min map. Graspin gDarkness's are not difficult to handle, lure them them out and kill them. Usually a group of 3 to 4 will come at a time. If you manage to aggro anymore Aatxes just run back to the cliff. Once lured hit Dolyak with your sword or axe until Bonetti's is charged, then use Vengeful was Khanhei. Rinse and repoeat until they are all dead. Once the 3 groups of grasping are dead you can escape the chamber. It's important that you take out the graspings because they interrupt and energy drain, which can be handled using Bonetti's. |
