found this gold staff a few years back, just felt like i should keep it. any idea if it would be worth anything to a collector?

Sometimes this sort of item is collected, due to it's mis-matchedness, but usually only if it's max & low req.

Maybe you cna get a few plat from an oldschool collector. This staff is pretty old (As can be seen with the fact that the +10 energy is above the damage line... if the description is listed as can be seen ingame).
But as has been said above, the mismached attributes combined with the high requirement basically kill this weapon.
It might be easier to just merch it rather than look for that one collector that might pay 5-10K or less.

It's "prenerf/prebuff" and, thus, weird. There are folks who collect weird old things like that.
Were it mine, I'd list it for sale and at least see if anyone was interested before trashing it. I wouldn't get my hopes up for lots and lots of money from a frenzied bid war, but I still think it's worth a shot. Probably best to just start a Sell thread here, as I'm not sure it's the kind of thing you'll easily get the "right buyers'" attention spamming in Kamadan.
Some collectible things I notice about this one ...
- It's got "triple profession" going for it. I know a couple players who enjoy wands like that. Modern staffs can't do that.
- It's got "99" going on, where the mods are 1-off max. Some people like such things.
- As mentioned above, it's prebuff/prenerf staff system.
Given all that, there's just no telling whose collection this might suit.

Yeah, despite the triple-profession req and mods, it's definitely not merch food. There's still some people around who collect pre-nerf stuff, so you should be able to sell it. No idea what it's worth though, sorry.
