Gothic Defender & Defender: look like merch food, uninscribable sing mod shields are almost always merch

Shadow Blade & Shadow Bow: would merch r13 is to high, salvage the 30hp mod off bow first

Colossal Pick: Inherent mod is 1 off but you may be able to get 5k or so out of it

Platinum Staff: 5-10k

Break Hammer: Merch, maybe salvage the deathbane first

Desolation Maul, Bronze Crusher, Gemstone Axe, Skull Recurve Bow, Fiery Dragon Sword: 1-3k/ea or merch them

Shadowblade: 3-8k

As for moding items your best off to sell them as is most people prefer to mod them to their liking. Hope this helps

Right off the bat I want to warn against trying to mod weapons to increase their price. It does not usually work. Most players buying weapons know they can mod it, and even more certainly know better than you how they want to use it themselves. Not every player uses the same mods, not hardly. In most every case, you will come out ahead selling weapons and desirable mods separately, either to the same player or to different players. It's never a good idea to purchase mods with your own money just trying to increase the selling price of your weapons - you don't make as much money that way, and you might actually find you run at a net loss! If you have mods salvaged to sell, you can offer to include them for extra to interested buyers if it helps sweeten the deal when you happen to have some of the mods they'd want to use anyway.

The only times I've ever seen or heard about such things working were in very specific cases of folks who are well-stocked with spare mods anyway, who are willing and able to spend quite a bit of time watching the markets and trade spam waiting for "the right buyer," and who are already pretty experienced in player-to-player trading and fair-market-value prices of weapons and mods.

tl;dr? If you're still at the point you have to ask, "Should I mod this to sell it?" then the answer is, emphatically, "No! you should not!"

PS - Any allegedly potential buyer who tells you something isn't worth your asking price for a reason along the lines of, "It's not even modded," is pretty uninformed/inexperienced or trying to get you to sell cheap ... or both. Don't fall for such nonsense.

As the skin comes only inherent/non-inscribable (and inherent shields cannot be modded at all,) I'll second the opinion that it's merchfood for being singlemodded and so high req. With desirable dual mods, this skin can fetch a pretty penny sometimes.

Quote:
Defender (Tower Shield Skin)
Armor 16 (Req. 9 Strength)
Health +30 (Without mods)
Since you don't mention an inscription slot or spell the name "Defender of Fortitude," I'll assume this is non-inscribable, too. While not universally hated, this is a fairly common shield skin, so I can't see a single-modded one being worth much at all. I'd merch this, too.

Quote:
Sundering Shadow Blade of Enchanting
Slashing Damage 15-22 (Req. 13 Swordsmanship)
Damage +15% (While Enchanted)
Armor Penetration +20% (Chance: 19%)
Enchantments last 19% longer
Between the very high req. and the less than desirable 15wE inherent damage mod, I'd say this is safely merchfood, too.

Quote:
Fiery Shadow Bow of Fortitude
Fire Damage 15-28 (Req. 13 Marksmanship)
Damage +15% (While Enchanted)
Health +30
Between the very high req. and the less than desirable 15wE inherent damage mod, I'd say this is safely merchfood, too. You might salvage the max bow grip of fortitude and keep it. If you find a buyer, these can get 3kish easily enough. It's not always easy to find a buyer, as bows aren't super popular.

Quote:
Colossal Pick of Pruning
Piercing Damage 19-35 (Req. 10 Hammer Mastery)
Damage 14% (While Health is above 50%)
Dmg +19% (Vs. Plants)
This is one of the few skins left in the game that does not come inscribable. However, hammers aren't super-popular and 1-off inherent damage mods are even less popular. :/ Were that mine, I would try to sell it like so. List it on a fansite auction system for very low starting bid/reserve (maybe 1-3k,) and let it run for a week just to see if anyone wanted it. If they did, great! If not, I'd merch it or give it to a hero.

Energy +5 (While health is above 50%)

Well, the 20% staff wrapping of enchanting is pretty easy to sell in Kamadan for 5kish - just watch for wtb ads. I'd think a gold r9 inspiration insc. Platinum Staff would be able to get 5-10k these days.

Quote:
Fiery Break Hammer of Deathbane
Fire damage 19-35 (Req. 11 Hammer Mastery)
Inscription: "Show me the money!"
Improved Sale Value
Dmg +20% (Vs. Undead)
You might find someone willing to pay 2kish for the 20% hammer grip of deathbane, but it's not likely to be fast or easy. The hammer I would merch, as it's hard to sell those in even r9 inscribable versions for more than a few plat.

Quote:
Vampiric Desolation Maul of Warding
Blunt Damage 19-35 (Req. 9 Hammer Mastery)
Life Draining: 5
Health Regeneration: -1
Armor +7 (Vs. elemental damage)
Inscription: "Guided by Fate"
Damage +15% (While enchanted)
I would take my sweet time with this if I were you. Hammers aren't super popular, no. There aren't a lot of wtb ads for hammers, no. But this particular skin dyes VERY WELL and looks pretty big. You do not see a lot of them come onto the market for sale, and over the years I have run into more than one player desperate to buy one!

If you want to sell it fast and cheap, maybe 5-10k. If you want to hold out for one of those motivated buyers, I don't think 30k+ is at all unreasonable. When I've had spares of these handy, I've sold them for 30-50k range now and then. I wouldn't merch it either way!

Quote:
Fiery Bronze Crusher
Fire Damage 19-35 (Req. 9 Hammer Mastery)
Inscription: "Vengeance is Mine"
Damage 19% (While health is below 50%)
They're pretty oversupplied thanks to Raptor or Vaettir farming, as I get tons buying unids from those players. The skin of "Bronze Crusher" dyes pretty well, and you do see someone spamming to buy one now and then. If you want to hold onto it, maybe 5-10k if you find a motivated buyer.

Personally, I'm rarely willing to use an inventory slot on one that long, so I often wind up putting a Measure for measure inscription on these and salvaging - they tend to produce a lot of granite in my experience.

Quote:
Sundering Gemstone Axe of Deathbane
Slashing Damage 6-28 (Req. 9 Axe Mastery)
Armor Penetration 20% (Chance: 19%)
Inscription: "Measure for Measure"
Highly Salvagable
Dmg +20% (Vs. Undead)
I wouldn't think it's unreasonable to ask 5kish, maybe a little more for an r9 inscribable Gemstone Axe. They come in and out of favor over the years, but sometimes you find people looking hard for them.

Quote:
Barbed Skull Recurve Bow of Deathbane
Piercing Damage 15-28 (Req. 9 Marksmanship)
Lengthens Bleeding duration on foes by 33% (Stacking)
Inscription: "Dance with Death"
Damage +15% (While in a Stance)
Dmg +19% (Vs. Undead)
If you find an interested buyer, you might reasonably ask 5k (maybe even more) for this one. There aren't many coming up for sale, so they can be hard to find if you want one. Trouble is, it's not that common to find anyone wanting one.

Quote:
Fiery Dragon Sword of Warding
Fire Damage 15-22 (Req. 11 Swordsmanship)
Armor +7 (Vs. Elemental damage)
Inscription: "Show me the money!"
Improved Sale value
Were it mine, I'd probably merch it. But if you find someone looking for one I can see 2-3k for this.

Quote:
Cruel Shadow Blade of Defense
Slashing damage 15-22 (Req. 9 Swordsmanship)
Damage +15% (While in a Stance)
Lengthens Deep Wound duration on foes by 33% (Stacking)
Armor +5
Meh, 15stance inherent swords aren't super popular, and inherent Shadow Blades seem rather oversupplied for what demand there is these days thanks to the popularity of FoW with many players. I would probably merch that, were it mine. If you find an interested buyer, I'd think 3-5k is fair.

Cheers & GL!
