Hi, new to the Guru Site, not new to the game (but I do have what seems like a stupid question)
Okay so I have some PvE characters. Some are Proph, some Factions, and some NF. After they complete all the missions and get their Protector title for their section, they can go over to the other continents to do some missions there. Okay here is my question, if my character just completed Prophecy, and then goes over to Factions, he begins in Kan City. How does he get to the early missions to complete for Protector on the new continent? How do you travel to the early missions when you start in the middle?
(I suspect the answer is going to be something really simply, please be gentle.)

Factions: Talk to First Mate Xiang in Kaineng Docks to get to Shing Jea Island, then walk to the relevant mission outposts (you won't get any quests here so you'll need to know where you're going).

----------
Prophecies: Just walk back through the explorable areas.
Nightfall: You'll start on the starter island like in Prophecies you'll just need to go through the relevant explorables.

To get to Shing Jea Island with a non-Factions character, go to The Marketplace, exit to Kaineng Docks and talk to First Mate Xiang. He will take you there.

The most time consuming one is when you take a factions or Nightfall character and go to the prophesies game.
Working your way back to ascalon from Lions arch takes a while, not too bad if your have already done it on a prophesies character and remember the rout.

Incidentally, you do not need to be anywhere near to completing a campaign to travel to another one. You only need to get to a port city - Lion's Arch (Prophecies), Kaineng Center (Factions) or Consulate Docks (Nightfall). When you enter those ports you will get a pop-up notice about who to talk to.

As a sidenote: "getting" to Consulate Docks is not enough to travel from NF. You also have to complete a primary quest - The Time is Nigh.
Worth mentioning, since many players offer the possibility to "ferry" newcomers (= bring newcomers along while they are doing the aforementioned quest) to Consulate Docks, in order to craft max armor. Simply getting there tough doesn't automatically grant the possibility to travel, unless you're once again ferried to Tyria or Cantha by someone else who has the relevant quests active.

My main is from factions, and is the only one that has progressed somewhat decently into the game (I've only been playing a bit over a year and was computerless for about 5 months), and I enjoyed playing back through the explorable areas to get to Ascalon. It gets easier and faster as you go along, seeing as the levels of the enemies decrease because of starter territory.

Its very easy when there is only one path, if you stop off at beacons perch you have to know not to head down talos.
Later when you enter the seared areas there are a miriad of paths.
Easy if you have done it before just not clear cut if your a stranger in town.

Worked beautifully for Factions and Nightfall, am still having some trouble getting my players to early Prophecies map though. Thanks players for your help
