PvX [ESP] One of the Most Established Guilds in the Game
Karuna
Welcome to the Everlasting Sacred Path. We are a large PvX Guild and Kurzick Alliance Leader now going on our 7th year of being active in Guild Wars. Before I go into more details regarding what all we have, let me quickly mention a few things that you will never see us doing.
1.) Posting recruitment messages in outposts . . .
I feel that this is counter-intuitive to creating a good guild and sends the wrong message. I know that almost every guild out there does this, but I never have and I never will. [ESP] Guild Members are selected on a 1 on 1 basis out of those people who apply for membership on our forums or else are friends/family of current guild members. We look for people who have a fun, friendly personality and who show a high interest in taking part in guild activities.
2.) Taking the game too seriously. . .
We understand the distinction between game time and real life. Sure, we play to win, but when it comes at the expense of causing people to get upset then it is no longer worth it. We are able to laugh at our mistakes and then try to learn from them. We support each other as a team and try to make this a fun experience for everyone.
3.) Slowly becoming inactive . . .
[ESP] was formed back in June of 2005. We have been a Guild of the Week, a Guild Wars Notable Guild, and racked up numerous other accomplishments besides. I think that by this point we have a pretty good idea of how to hold things together. You will never have to worry about all of a sudden being all by yourself on a guild roster.
4.) Admitting to shenanigans . . .
The first rule in [ESP] about shenanigans . . . no one talks about shenanigans! Ok, so maybe it isn't the most unique joke in the world but we don't really care. Often we can be silly and random. One day it might be z-rank battles and the next it could be 'ESP Story Time'. You never really know for sure. We have our own unique character and numerous inside jokes.
Hopefully this gives you a decent idea of our guild environment so that you can decide whether or not it might be for you. As far as our usual gaming activities: they cover the entire gamut from helping newer players with their missions and quests to elite PvE content and speedclears and from syncing Alliance Battles and JQ to playing competitive Heroes' Ascent and GvG. We do have an active vent server and *gasp* truly active forums.
If you would like information, then you may find said forums here at http://www.espguild.com. You are also welcome to find me and message me in game - Karuna Vajra. Barring that you can send me a message via carrier pigeon, erm, I mean via pm here on Guild Wars Guru (I don't check my messages here as often.)
I thank you all for taking the time to read this post and wish you happy holidays,
~Karuna
