How do you get to a PVP server?

Okay, I joined a guild, got the cape (which is very cool), and my guild leader sent me a notice that they now have a meeting location on a pvp server. Okay, I have no idea how to get to the pvp server. I sort of thought I was already on it. Does this make sense? Can anyone help?

they dont have pvp servers
he should give you clear directions where they are meeting
