Why is everything Kurzick?

Been waiting for ages to ZV Gyala Hatchery but the only entrance, deep in Luxon territory, is permanently Kurzick so I cant get the Luxon blessing.

Whats happened to cause such a Faction bias last for so long?

i know right. ive been waiting forever myself. makes it hard when you're going for either side when part of it is in a different faction.

Start fighting on the Luxon side of AB.

Tbh the idea of the boundries was great a few years ago when ab was busy but with less players doing ab it now screws up pve.
Yes - us who have been on gw for longer than a year can remember times when the ab maps been stuck on neutral grounds or even in kurz lands for ages - but at least it gave the pve players a chance to vq the relevant zones.
I know it wont ever get done but anet did split HA away from favor an into world favor - why cant they also do the same with ab and its maps.Have the pve side seperate from the pvp side.Heck im sure gw had and still has many pure pvper`s who dont do pve and cant see why pve should get affected.

Im sure that if things changed where what we did in pve affacted pvp mapes im sure the pvpers would be up in arms over it.
Bottom line - anet please seperate the kurz/lux boundries from pvp or at least set pve where in jade sea its always lux shrines/bounty and same for kurz side.Im sure this would be on many a players dear santa list to anet.

Damn pvp influence on pve. Some weird shit there.

Its always hit me as weird that pvp affected pve ( favor and boundry in cantha ) but pve didnt have any effect on pvp.
In a way anet are forcing pve players to either settle for less faction via vq in lux/kurz lands or a side effect of stopping us vq till lands return to 50/50.

It wasn't well thought out imo and people seem to prefer Kurzick overall. I kinda wish the title was a lot less faction but only doable through pvp or after a certain point.

I don't see this as a big deal. Yes, it would be nice to get Luxon points for the vanquish, but that doesn't stop you from getting the Zaishen coins or completing the vq titles.
It simply means that you will need to do something else to get Luxon points. QQ

Same here. It moved a little toward lux a week ago, but the outpost has been in kurz territory since long before this ZV.

er, this might be taking the original thread further off course, but if you take the (Kurz) priest blessing from the shrine outside Lev pits, you'll rack up Kurz points for every red dot, true. But the reward at the end for *completing* the vanquish will be Luxon points, if I recall. Gyala is Luxon territory, even if the only town with a blessing shrine outside is currently Kurzick. Coupled with the Zaishen VQ rewards, you'll still end up ahead on Luxon for vanqing. Other option is to just not take a priest blessing and simply vanq (yes, though it goes against our lab-mouse training to always talk to the priests :P)

I forgot to grab priest while vqing. Decided that was the last of farming that title. So began my greatest quest... the vq'ing of grind titles and bs titles.

So far we've won (kinda) one battle (drunkard), but have lost the grind war.

That is what this thread boils down to isn't it? Arenanet making grind even more difficult for poor luxons.

I'm waiting until the Rhea's Crater comes up as the ZV on Dec 30th and doing them both at once. From the Rhea's Crater portal, go north up the right side of Gyala and get the Luxon Blessing from the priest outside of Gyala Hatchery. That will minimize the "lost" luxon faction from kills.

EDIT: This won't work - there's no shrine or priest there, dagnabit!

It goes in waves. When I started factions in '07 it was balanced but it quickly went towards the luxons. Then in late 08 and 09 it was heavy on the Kurzick side, then it went back to Luxons until the last 8 months.
It'll swing back and forth.

When I went for my VQ title earlier this year/late last year it was impossible to get Kurzick VQs in Luxon land except on AB weekends (there are more Kurzick players than Luxon, but it used to be that most of them did not PvP).

Er....Cavalon is north of Rhea's Crater? I thought it was Northwest...as in THROUGH Gyala outpost, then Maishang Hills and thru a swirly to get there? I could be wrong...it's been a while since I've been in Gyala Explorable carto-ing and all.

Unless you mean the priest outside Gyala?...because there isn't any priest outside Gyala. Only shrine with NPC's in Gyala explorable is outside Lev Pits I believe?

I find it odd with the introduction of Imperial Faction that this should even take place any longer. Lux fight on Kurz side and Kurz fight on Lux side since you earn Imperial Faction rather than Lux/Kurz. Why would boundries need to shift?

Can't you bribe the priest for the blessing anyway? 50 gp isn't that much.

You get the blessing for that faction. If you are Kurzick, you may not want Luxon faction, and vice-versa.
