False positive botting bans possible? anything i can really do?

*Sorry if this is the wrong forum, never posted here before*
So I was coming back to Guild Wars after about...2-3 months as my friend is interested in GW2 and i figured i'd let her fool around while i went and did something. Ended up apparently being incapable of remembering my password for either my GW account and my NCsoft master account. i submitted a ticket and they sent me a link to reset my password, no hassle, no info required. I went in, changed both passwords, and tried to log in only to find out that my account had been banned for botting.
Now i don't even know where to get a bot, much less how to run one. I'm guessing someone managed to gain control of my account again. I don't know how this could have happened. I had to have the account restored earlier this year after 4 years away (a gold seller had taken over it somehow) from the game. I've not had any security issues without any other accounts, no detectable intrusions on my computer or anything. I'm at a loss how this could have happened.
Otherwise the only thing i can think of is that my "legendary" 8 hour Sunspear point grind (which caused me to stop playing the game, as the mere mention of GW induced nausea) somehow tripped the system...but that's just stupid...their system must be more sophisticated than that.
Anyway, I opened a ticket politely explaining the situation the day before yesterday, but reading their support article tonight, i get the feeling that the only response i'm going to get will basically boil down to "F off", and that's if i get one at all. I guess i'm just wondering if anyone has any experience or insight in to what exactly is going to happen now.
Also will this screw me out of my HoM stuff? i worked hard (and fair) for those 17 points (Which would probably qualify as a super crappy bot because i suck at making gold).

be patient...if you say you havent played in a very long time....since you couldnt remember the password...you have a pretty good chance of them un-locking the account for botting.
IF you are still using the same IP you had before (or something close to it) they might be able to check to see that it was indeed not you using the account, and that you had been 'hacked'.
when you get an email back, be very polite and explain things in detail (that YOU--not your friend, you are not allowed to let others play on your account).
then you wait.

Well considering she never even got to touch the keyboard, that's not really a problem. Plus i know to leave that part out. I'm just very depressed to think that it's all gone. I've never had any action taken against me personally so i'm hoping they'll be reasonable.
My experience with support was very good when i had to recover the 4 year dormant account, so i'm sure they'll be fair about it. But it's finals week so i'm not the most mentally stable right now lol

They'll get back to you.
I'd try to get all your product keys together if you can.
If you get a boiler plate response back and you are certain you didn't do anything against the EULA, then just respond back and you will eventually get a reply from a human with further instructions (probably asking for the product keys).
As for the Hall of Monuments, if you remember any of your character names, just go here: http://guildwars2.com/en/the-game/hall-of-monuments/
and type in a character name (the HoM is account based, so it doesn't matter which one) and you'll be able to see what's been registered in your HoM (keep in mind, if you've done something (like completed FoW) but not added it to a monument, then it won't show up on that page. And you need to log out of the character before anything you newly add registers on the website.)
Hope you get your account back soon and haven't lost too much stuff.

Its possible that in your absence that your account was hacked and anet did a ban due to a huge ip change. You wouldnt know if that was the case as i believe most bans by anet are same type.Only thing you can do is contact support with all the info you can gather and they should sort it out from their end - could take a day or a week so just hang in there.
You said also earlier this yr a gold seller ( basically a hacker or someone who bought from a hacker the account ) managed to gain access - its possible that again they managed to get access to the account and that set off anets alarm bells.

I don't know. I went and updated/changed all my account info (even the email), de-authorized all locations and reauthorized only the one i'm at now and am hoping that keeps any futher intrusion out if i get my account back. Either way i'm doing my best to put this entire account in lockdown. Full computer virus/spyware scan, everything.

Good news: It was a hacker and they gave me my account back.
Bad News: all my money is gone (and i'm not very good at making money so that 60k was really hard to get) and my Warrior's Elite Kurzick chest and arm armor are gone (why the hell would they get rid of that?).

yeah..maybe. but they apparently made a rit to farm globs so...no clue why they'd worry about amber. I saw an article saying they could restore some account stuff from hacks after Oct 1st. I'll send an email to the support person who let me know and see if that's possible.
If not, the hacker's rit has 4 globs so...that'll sort of help me get back to where i was (i already got the HoM thing for kurzick armor so...no major loss there i guess).

good to hear you are back up and playing again....
they might have also salvaged those pieces if you had a superior vigor (or major vigor?) on them....some runes are going for good prices.
