PC OS shield

Hi,
I came across:
Wooden Buckler
Armor:16, requires 11 tactics
Recieved damage -2 while enchanted
Armor +10 vs Dwarves

Ive seen people on here interested in similar shields. I have no clue what it is worth. Any guidance is appreciated!

Ok, disclaimers first ...

I first heard about this shield when flammanga posted on my buy thread (where I buy 10vCritter shields, along with other things) offering it. I have since PMed him to let him know I'm not interested in this particular one, as it doesn't suit my needs. I am not bidding/offering on this shield, so there shouldn't be conflict of interest in me PCing it afaik.

There, that's done!

Now, I see a few things worth noting about this shield of yours.

• The Wooden Buckler skin is quite common. I've seen enough fans of the skin to avoid saying anything implying it's universally hated, but most players don't consider it particularly snazzy looking or rare.
  
  
• 10vX / -2wE combo inherent shields are really popular right now IF the X in question is something a lot of players are farming with Shadow Form or other tanking enchantments. So, a shield with such a combination is only likely to spark a lot of interest, bid wars, etc. if the X is something a lot of people in "the PvE meta" are farming or speed-clearing with those kinds of tanking enchantments. If X isn't something popular to face in the meta, shields with these combinations aren't likely to be all that popular.
  
  For yours, I think the question becomes how popular is Dwarf fighting in the meta right now? I don't think the Kilroy-dungeon will qualify, since that replaces your bar and leaves you no enchantments. I don't think there's much interest/activity at Sorrow's Furnace these days, and I'm just not at all sure about Slaver's Exile. If Slaver's is still pretty popular and folks are using enchant-based tanks, then the mod combo on this shield should make it pretty interesting! That's the potential for market demand I see on this one.
  
  
• The r11 Tactics probably won't matter too much if this appeals to meta farmers/tanks, as I don't think they usually run Warrior secondaries at all.
  
  
• 10vDwarves, as far as I know/have observed, can drop only on Prophecies shields. I don't think Factions inherent shields ever include this mod. There is quite a lot of meta Factions farming going on right now and causing a fair amount of oversupply for, say, 10vOgres modded shields. However, I don't think there's much in the way of meta Prophecies farming at all. So, if anything, 10vDwarves gear is under supplied for whatever demand there is.

Ok, so what's the price check, right?

If there's no meta Dwarf farming using enchanted tanks and you only get one player interested in buying this shield, I doubt it's likely to be worth more than 20k as a collector item or niche build piece. Were it mine to sell, I'd set s/b (which would be my reserve, too) around 10k I think.

If there is meta Dwarf farming with enchanted tanks I can see a bid war pushing this to 100k or more. The skin is meh, true. But if folks are looking for a mod combo like this one they've probably already noticed that there simply aren't a lot of 10vDwarves shields around, period. If I was pretty confident that there was a fair amount of meta Dwarf farming, I'd probably set reserve more like 30k and probably let it run a long time (~2weeks on a sell thread/auction seems like a long time to me.)

The Factions farmers are getting a nice supply of vPlants, vDemons, vOgres, and vDragons; The FoWSC folks seem to be getting a nice supply of vUndead. The remaining critters' (Charr, Dwarves, giants, skeletons, Tengu, and trolls) shield mods just don't seem to come from sources lots of players are farming these days.
