what is with 30 hom points

i have been reading through threads and it seems to me that most people are only focusing on getting 30 hall of monuments points so the question is why?? do you get anything above 30?

People are focusing on getting up to 30 points because once you go over this the only rewards you will get are titles you can use in GW2. Whereas up to, and including, 30 points provides items such as armor, weapons, mini pets, etc that you can use - which is why most people are focused on getting 30 points but not too bothered to get 50.

If you go to that link you can see exactly what rewards you can get. You'll see that each point up to, and including, 30 gives a reward. After 30 you no longer get any items but get a new title every 5 points (35, 40, 45 & 50).
