Heh yeah, Christmas 07/08 is about right, it still has pride of place on my shelf tho ;p along with my signed copies of the game, a lil message from Gaile she left in the delivery box and a bunch of those skill badges 
all unopened in their original packaging. A nice lil present for my 3.5 wonderful years of the alpha test before the program closed down.

I was pleasantly surprised today to receive a "Happy Holidays" card from ArenaNet today! It even appears to be personally signed (not a photo copy, or re-print) by many of the staff.
I don't know whether it's because I'm a 6+ year veteran of GW, or because I'm a mod/Tech on Guru2, but I must say I thought it was very nice.
So, I'll take this opportunity to wish all the staff at ANet and NCsoft a very Happy Holidays.

Just got an ArenaNet card in the mail today! Got one the first year but none since till now. Understandable with the massive number of people that have and do play Guild Wars.

They've been doing that for years now. I got one in 2007, the one with the charr playing with the wool out of an opened present. I'm assuming they pick people at random, because I didn't do anything exceptional to deserve one.

Edit: I just had a look at that card again (still holding on to it
), and was reminded that it was numbered. Mine was 384/1300. If they send 1300 every year, chances of getting one are pretty slim. Still, 1300 is quite a lot of cards to sign!

Feel like one of the luckiest players at the moment hehe . It sits proudly at the the center of my Guild Wars Shrine . More than made up for my dissapointment of not getting a mini Polar Bear lol.

Not sure if thats true, i got my old acc (7k hours) banned for breaking the EULA, and only got around 1k on my new acc

Sadly, it seems like most people on GWG won't get their cards from me . I did the GWG cards and GW2G cards in 2 separate batches and the woman at the post office issued the wrong kind of postage for many of the GWG (and some of the GW2G) cards.
Next year, I'll make sure I do all the postage for the cards >_<.
P.S. I hand wrote on every single card, and each one had their own unique greeting D:. And 100+ of them will never be received QQ.

Nope - I was sending them worldwide . When I was making the cards, there was a notice up on the forums providing all the details. I'll be doing it again next year, though .
