Hosting a District
Groups (usually a Guild or Alliance) who host districts are responsible for completing the Imperials Chefs mini-game during the finale. It is expected that each group intends to complete each chef, and has sufficient resources to do so. If you would like us to add your group to our district listing, you must meet the following requirements:
Be able to host for the entire duration of the finale
Plan to have a minimum of two sous-chefs (runners) per feast
Have all ingredients ready 24 hours prior to the start of the finale
Not require anything of your districts attendees (accepting donations is fine)
Groups who request to be added to the district list who do not fulfill these expectations during the finale may be ineligible to be added to similar lists on Guru in the future. If your group is able and willing, you are permitted to be listed for more than one district, with a maximum of 10 hosted.
To be added to the District List, please post the following information in this format BY February 4rth, 2012 11:59PM EST:

Please note that some in-game groups not affiliated with this list may claim a district you have claimed here. It is up to you to deal with any district disputes with other guilds in-game.

Just a little info here since the Chinese new year is on the 23rd of January which is on a Monday. They always seem to do Canthan New Year to whichever is the closest weekend and runs until Monday, hence its likely it will be on the weekend of the 19/20th-23rd.

Hey guys!
I just wanted to let you know that Gw-en.com hasn't had any meetings about this yet..but we hosted 11 districts in the Asian Districts last year. Japanese and Chinese So regardless of the district 1-3 blackouts..we would like to reserve the 1st 3 districts of Traditional Chinese and Japanese districts
We will be giving away extra goodies in the districts and what not. We will be posting on the Community Section of Guru....may I suggest that this thread be moved there? That is where it was posted last year

If you're previously had success in those districts, I'll add you to the list for them. The only reason for the blackout is to play it safe.
We decided to have the thread in Riverside this year since threads in Community Works generally do not get many views. If you are interested in doing more giveaways, please edit your post with the details and I will link to it next to your districts.

Blade Radio will be joining us during feasts 5, 6, and 7 to provide media coverage and on-air fun! Right now we are planning on overflow in AED61 for the feasts that Blade Radio will be with us.
We are prepared to share a glorious feast with the Celestial Dragon for all its appearances in our district this year. We are also prepared to share a bounty with those that join us with prizes and entertainment planned throughout the entire 24 hour finale.
We have a lot to offer and many of prizes to be won by people in our district, so we wish to allow as many people the opportunity to participate as possible. As our last district was so popular, we would appreciate it if the people that joined us were present at the event, not intending just to AFK in the rings and denying another player a chance to join us.
Each appearance of the Celestial Dragon heralds a change in theme for us. Each round we will base our events on well known dragons. Our events will start after the Celestial Dragon has left after each feast and conclude approximately 30 minutes before the next feast begins. As well as the major events listed there will be mini-games and trivia throughout the day and night.
We apologize in advance if we keep people up all night again.
A few requests and rules:
Please be courteous and listen to your hosts. Spamming, complaining or trolling may at our discretion disqualify you from our prizes
Google and the Guild Wars wikis are allowed, but we appreciate the effort people put in to answer things themselves.
Patience is appreciated!
Bring some inventory space - we cannot give you prizes if your have no room for them.
For more details on each round please listen in to your in-game hosts. While we are endeavoring to keep to our scheduled rounds, due to unforeseen circumstances, such as a host or player holding the prizes disconnecting, we may change the advertised order or substitute another event. We will keep our attendees informed in game if this happens.
We reserve the right to maintain our collectively small ignore lists. If you give a correct answer but we do not see it due to an ignore list the prize will go to the first winner we can identify.

We will be hosting a meeting on January 8th at 1pm Central on my ventrilo in regards to Canthan New Year for gw-en.com. We run our districts a little differently than most... Here is an idea of what we did last year...we plan on carrying that tradition forward!
We will be giving away some very special and unique GW 2 RL prizes on-air during this Festival as well...details will be posted after January 8th ...as they are finalized and we figure out which people are hosting what district for Asian districts

This is just a confirmation post that GW-EN will be hosting the 6 districts as mentioned above. We will be finalizing our prizes and details about our specific districts the weekend of January 15th Crossing Tyria.com, Guildwars2live.com, the NICE alliance, Arkin and his alliance, the Ankh Alliance and Several GW-EN.com staff will be making up the majority of people who will be hosting the districts. We will be posting more details..as I said above at a later date We are most pumped to be doing this again! This is most definitely the Gw-en.com crew's fave event ingame (Besides Pink Day and the Toga Party....of course..hehe)

Just thought I should give you guys a heads up
They are pushing Canthan New Year into February apparently due to storms.
The Older Gamers [TOG] will be hosting a district this year as we have the past few years. We are not claiming a district yet as it is almost impossible to do so before the actual event but I will update this thread on the day, to let anyone interested know which district we have as soon as we get it.
After checking the claimed districts on this thread, TOG will claim D 41 American English.
