Is the Nightfall campaign short? What do you do in Eye of the North?
TheMeddler
I only have Nightfall, and to me, it seems like it's going to be a short campaign. Is it? I still have to get the others, so if it's short, that's fine, I have a lot I still need to do in that case. And what do you do in Eye of the North? I need it for the HoM, but it doesn't appear in the campaigns.

In length Nightfall is the middle one (20 missions)... Prophecies is the longest (25 missions... often long ones too) and Factions is the shortest (13 missions).
EOTN is an expansion with 10 missions. You cant create characters in EOTN and you need to be at least level 10 and have reached a certain point in the game before you can do the quest to travel to EOTN.
For the rest EOTN is similar to all the campaigns (quests, vq, etc). It also offers extra heroes, special PvE-only skills, dungeons (with some special chestdrops)... and the HOM ofcourse.

Meddler slightly off suject but still on it
........
Have you been to Domain Of Anguish via Chantry of Secrets?? There is an Elite mission there called Mallyx the Unyielding.
Once you have beaten Nightfall you visit Chantry Of Secrets and talk to ""Guardian of Whispers"", he will grant you access to inner area and there you can visit the statue of the Goddess of Truth. Kneeling at that statue summons the Seer of Truth, which in turn grants access to the Domain of Anguish.

If you're only level 5 you'll still be on the starter island and have a fair amount left to do there. That's probably only about a fifth/sixth of the total NF content. The quests/missions will lead you to the mainland once you get close to about level 20.

I just began yesterday and I am only level 5, but I will definitely keep that in mind! When the time comes, I'll come back to it and read it again. Lol.

You still have a looong way to go (especially when everything is new to you)... as a level 5 player you probably only have 1 NF mission done (so 19 to go) and there are still many quests to do as well (primary quests are most important and not optional to continue in the game... the rest are optional but it is still advisable to do them, for the rewards and xp)

Actually, Nightfall is healthy size. Some of the missions and linking quests are quite challenging particularly towards the end. In spite of the dismissive attitudes of some on this board it is a good idea for a new player to finish Nightfall before going to Eye of the North. EoTN has areas that are really fairly tough unless you have good heroes and skills for them.
EoTN has a storyline set of missions and there are also a number of dungeons, all of which can hold your attention.

Long of short is relative
Prophecies is by far the fastest campaign to complete if you skip things, I can finish it from pre-searing in a few hours (TH then 3 missions to end).
Actually playing the campaigns, and enjoying the storyline along with the myriad of side quests, takes considerable time if you explore to a reasonable extent.
Those of us who have finished all of them many times, can breeze through them all in a matter of hours by running or other short cuts.
What really matters here, is that you, as a new player will find the game world vast and varied, replete with more than enough to keep you busy for a long time if you play in the right spirit.
EoTN, apart from being a lot of fun in its own right, provided extra heroes and very valuable skills, very much worth the price.

NF was the most lengthy for me, after Proph I bought Factions and NF. I would switch between them to do the missions and also EotN ones. I never powered through any campaign, just done them as I took the mood for. I'd do one in Factions, then another in NF etc. To each their own!
