Hey not sure if this is where the thread goes, I am new to guildwars guru but I love reading all the interesting post I thought I would post some calculations,
I recently bought quite a few wintersday gift and wondered if I was ripped off. well it turns out they are selling for much less then they are worth.
I paid 128 ea
Item Sells Chance Effective
Eggnog(2) 200 15% 30
Spiked Eggnog(2) 600 10% 60
Snowman Summoner(2) 80 15% 12
Yuletide Tonic 100 10% 10
Rainbow Candy Cane 40 10% 4
Fruitcake(2) 80 15% 12
Peppermint Candy Cane 40 10% 4
Wintergreen Candy(2) 80 10% 8
Candy Cane Shard(10) 256 5% 12.8
Total Effective value of Wintersday Gift: 152.8 Gold ea
I saved 24.8 gold on each one for a total of 37.2 Plat savings
A stack of gift should not be sold for less then 38.2 Plat
With new information
Candy Cane Shard(10) effective value is increased due to them being = to Wintersday Present(2)
There for their new value is 15.3 adding 3 more gold to the worth of a wintersday Present.
I used 10k price for all stacks but 100g for each drunk point. figured tonics should be worth 100g to right seller but if they are less let me know.
So happy wintersday and if you can buy um for less then 35k a stack they are a cheap way to drunkard title and they help with other titles.

You made one mistake, good sir - you assumed that the prices for specific consumables are firm.
It's really easy to get alcohol for 85g now (or a stack of spiked nog for 60~63k). Spammable sweets/party stuff goes for ~90g, if you're patient enough. Non-spammable stuff is cheap as hell - bought a stack of peppermint candy canes (500 sweet points) for 8k (same as frosty tonics, btw). And as more people are left with no money or interest to buy anything more, whilst there's constant farming of those items, the prices will drop a bit more within the upcoming week.

Haha Thanks I was wondering why they were less expensive, I hadn't thought of that.
