Everlasting Sacred Path [ESP]

R/

Who We Are:

[ESP] Started out not too long after the initial release of Guild Wars back in 2005 as a group of about a dozen people. Little did I realize at that time all the events that were in store for us.

By 2006 the Everlasting Sacred Path was named as a 'Guild of the Week' by Arenanet. By 2008 we were leading our own full Kurzick Alliance and now in 2011, rather than shrinking in activity as many guilds seem to be doing we are actually expanding and we currently run two guilds in order to hold our entire group of members who now number well over 100.

If this makes us sound like a serious juggernaut of a guild, let me assure you that this is truly not the case. Our main focus is not to expand but to have fun. We enjoy having a large membership because it means we have more people to hang out and socialize with and we can run our own in-game events that other groups simply do not have the capability or level of participation to organize. From the very start [ESP] has been a social, event-based guild. We were doing it before most others were and we still focus on running a number of weekly and yearly events for our entire alliance.

We are also all-inclusive which means that everyone is treated equally, regardless of skill in the game or the length of time that they have been playing. Everyone who wants gets to have their say in what we do and how we should guide our direction for the future. Our community is internationally based, with members from all over the world.

What We Do

Pretty much everything that you can imagine doing in Guild Wars . . . We help out newcomers with leveling their characters. We help people get their titles for completing elite areas and hard mode missions/vanquishes. We get together for Alliance Battles, arenas, FA and JQ and we actively play in Heroes' Ascent and Guild vs Guild as well. Regardless of what we are doing, the same sense of camaraderie and inclusiveness pervades. Our philosophy is that the game is more fun when you are able to explore any part of the game that you like among the company of trusted friends who are going to laugh rather than rage if something happens to go amiss.

We have active (and very customized) forums and an active vent server which are open to all within our alliance.

What We Are Looking For

We look for people who are mature (in a common sense sort of way) as well as fun and personable. We are an 18+ guild. We never spam recruit nor do we post the exact same recruitment message on Guru every 15 days as so many guilds do. We want people who are truly interested in this guild and excited by all the possibilities that being a member can offer. [ESP] is not simply just a large guild roster -- it is a large group of friends and we look for people who are interested in actively taking part in and also helping to focus our activities.

So What Do I Do if I Am Interested?

We always talk to and review prospective members before making any sort of decision. This done both for your sake, to ensure that this guild is really where you want to be as well as for ours to ensure that new members get along and mingle well with our current group. I encourage people to find and talk to me in game and/or to follow the link to our web site at http://www.espguild.com where you can read up on our guild, get a general feel for our silly banter, and post an application.

I thank you for taking the time to read this somewhat lengthy post. My hope is that the level of detail provided here shows that we put serious care in to making this guild the best that it can possibly be while preserving the care free and casual atmosphere that makes our game time enjoyable.

Take care, and happy holidays!
