PvP = Player vs Player - so why do we have to put up with teams that hide behind hench. It is worse than playing teams that use bots or macros.
Time for the hench to be removed from guild halls.
Get rid of hench from all pvp

Henchs are controlled by a player thus it's still PvP.. Besides, i can understand your point for snowball AT's, as it's a bit annoying to face 4 henchways per AT, but you need to consider that the ycan't pick, thus it's a free win for you normally...
Besides, they're a key to deal with inactivity in some formats and removing them wouldn't do anything in that way but making places more inactive, thus /notsigned

Heroes and henchmen should never have been added to the game, they are a key contributor to why teamplay in pve broke down and players quit pvp. But at this stage of the game removing them would only make it worse. We wouldn't be able to gvg at all if there weren't henchmen.

GW2 won't have henchies

P

GW's PvP has modes with NPCs and without them.
You can think of them as 'towers' of sorts you have to guard and that attack enemies, since they don't move around as much as players in most PvP modes.
As for henchmen, there are 'downtimes' when it's harder to find people in some modes, or they won't join you if you have low rank, so they come in handy to fill a gap or two without adding heroes that may bring troublesome builds.
And no, they are NOT worse that teams that use bots or macros. There's nothing in PvP worse than those.

How are teams who handicap themselves with henchmen ruining the game?
Without henchmen, PvP would truly be dead now. Many lower-level teams rely on the henchmen to make up for missing players (they don't generally have a large pool of players to guest from) and would otherwise not play at all. Imagine even longer waiting times between matches in GvG or HA, then reconsider this suggestion.

Neither any of the HA nor GvG henchmen have these skills. If you are referring to heroes, they have long since been removed from PvP.

In PvE its worse. The vast majority of PvE play is single player with option of co-op. Making the title and monument grind so important, which is far more optional and less fulfilling content, also discourages team formation.
