Opinion of best looking spear

I'm currently using a voltaic spear but I have really begun to not like it at all. Its just way too big and flashy/shiny . I'm thinking about switching to something that looks more like an actual spear (like the banded spear), but i payed so much money for my VS and I don't want to have wasted it...

i am partial to the oppresor spear, dyes nicely and has nice animations .......imho

My favorites are the Tormented Spear and Draconic Spear, I still use Hidesplitter's Spear which dropped for me the first time I went through Rragar's Menagerie. It's pretty rare too as Rragar's is not easily farmable. I'd also like to give a shout out to the Mursaat Spear... it's held together by magic, how cool is that?

Dislike the Voltaic Spear and other far-too-large spears as others have already mentioned. I have one that has never been used.

For more common skins I'd suggest the Brass Spear and Crenellated Spear, they look nice and are similar to real-world spears... also the Banded Spear, it looks like a harpoon.

Oh yes, I've spent a good portion of the game with a nice pronged spear and moved onto Oppressor, which is very nice. (fu Cuil)

I would have to say my favourites are Ornate or Serrated since they look like they could actually kill and fit shields nicely. Love Brass for it's simplicity and wintergreen since it's cute, but doesn't really fit any shield so that kinda a shame.

I don't have enough money to afford a wintergreen spear, but I absolutely love my wintergreen sword + shield that I use as a caster defensive weapon set.

I think spear skins are fairly poor in comparison to most weapons and would go with the more functional looking ones being best

And yeah, greater guardian spear is a nice one ^^

If I wanted something that actually looks like a spear, you know a weapon you kill things with, I'd pick a Brass Spear. (Or Windblade, but that's ugly.)

VS is too gaudy to have ever looked even acceptable.

My favorite is the Serrated because of the smexiness of barbed spears, but Voltaic is a close second due to coloring and animation. Draconic third (I happen to like dragons, thank you very much).

So what were the typical uses of these three types of long weapons?

Spear - Throwing weapon. Knife onna stick. Used in war & hunting. May be fitted with a crossbar at the top, to keep enemies from forcing their bodies up the shaft and (possibly) doing nasty things to you.

Pike - similar to a spear, but longer. No throwing. War weapon only. May have a hook attached for yanking knights off their horses.

Halberd - Hybrid between a Pike and a Battleaxe. War only. Very nasty in a fight. Most commonly has a hook.

Also: Lance - long spear-like Pike, used from the saddle of a horse.

So when I said spear, I actually mean skins that actually closely represent spears.

Anyone got a dyechart for the demoncrest spear?
