Personally I'm going for this order;
Demoncrest (simple, yet badass)
Voltaic (not really spear-ish, and too expensive for sure)
Tormented
Destroyer
Also nice : Serrated, Nightmare, Greater Guardian, Opressor's (although the latter is better on classes that wield it backhand, imo; Dervishes for example)
Opinion of best looking spear
Deadfalk
Zylo16
Serrated tops my list imo, then demoncrest, tormented, destroyer, then maybe voltaic..

Ornate spear is a favorite. Also enjoy Voltaic spear, especially when I didn't buy it. Imperial Spear is also appealing.

Really big fan of the tormented one.

I have/use the following:
Voltaic is over the top and fun to dye. Wish it were just a lil smaller. Flashiest!
Tormy is clean with just a lil flash. Wish you could dye it. Cleanest!
Ornate and Draconic dye similarly and can be made to match armor nicely imo. I like these 2 but not in black. I should show a pic of my para. I think many will go and grab one of these after seeing how well it blends together.
Edit:
Destroyer needed for hom, but looks fine... on heros. Wish it had more animation or something.
People who complain about aerodynamics shouldnt worry. Its a game. Tiny female wars, monks, etc running around with giant axes, swords and spears. Not to mention the shields...

Spear of Purity for me, looks like a spear without stupid pointy sticky out bits

Don't have a #1 favorite, but these are the ones I like the skins of.
Tormented
Suntouched dyed either black, white, or red depending on what color my armor is
Undead
Wingblade
Destroyer
Mursaat as an after thought

superraptors
destroyer and oppressor for some reason

I finally had enough of my voltaic spear, and decided to replace it. It was just way too big, unaerodynamic, and looked nothing like what I would invision a spear to look like. Now... my hayda gets to use it instead.
I ended up replacing it with the banded spear which looks really, really nice in my opinion. Out of all of the spears in the game, this is the one that looks the most like an aerodynamic javelin, which is what I want.

That's a good point. Paras should be using javelins. Spears are supposed to have a bigger tip than javelins. In gw its mostly thrown like a javelin, but by design, a spear is supposed to be used for mostly stabbing.

Personally, my favorites are the Destroyer spear (because that orange firey glow is kinda cool looking), the Oppressor's spear (because the little red dot animation is cool, and as with all Oppressor's weapons, it looks really cool dyed black), and finally the Tormented spear.
For the last one, I know a lot of people who claim that it's too small (some along the lines of "I spent so much money for it, why can't it be bigger). Its smallness, however, is perfect: it fits as a caster weapon on my smallmonk, and it looks throwable (the spear, not my monk. Monks should not be thrown). I do wish the Tormy spear was dyeable (or at least tint-able), but its still one of the few spears that you can use/throw and not imagine your char's arm ripping out of its socket.
As for whoever it was who said the only people who don't like the VS are those that can't afford it, sorry, but no. I can afford a VS, and I still don't like them. If I ever got a VS (I probly won't, because I don't do Slavers much if at all), I'd probably attempt to turn around and sell it immediately, and not just because I'd get some money for it. The design of the spear is cool, and the animation is neat, but it's just too big for it to be reasonably believable. Just my opinion, of course!
