Hey.
I'm new to the game, I am during the Prophecies campaign and I'd like to see your opinions on the case:
What's better: to play all the campaigns with one character (meaning missing some content from 2 campaigns) or to play campaigns with three separate characters (enjoying all of the content).
Actually, I'd like to experience as much of the storyline as possible, so I'm wondering what are the cons to the second option.
All campaigns at once or separately?

Maybe make a character in each campaign, but only play them (for now) each upto the end of the tutorial missions & areas/port towns/continent crossing quests...then focus on one character (you'll probably have a good feel of a few different classes and what you prefer by then too) after that to finish all the campaigns (in order?) from those points?

Sounds like good advice you could always make your nightfall and factions characters one of the unique classes from those campaigns.
So assassin or Ritualist for Factions and Dervish or paragon for Nightfall.

It is better to have at least one character that has done every campaign than to have 3 characters, but none of them has done every campaign. It's somewhat limiting, if you have to change characters to join a friend in a different campaign. Keep in mind, that the contents of the beginning areas is very small. It's only the tutorial section. You don't miss much content.
If you like Guild Wars and play for a longer time and have beaten all campaigns with your favourite character, you will create more characters of other classes anyway. With these you could choose different starting areas.

I like Gremlins advice, make a core character in prophecies and a campaign specific character that is found only in Nightfall and factions. Perhaps a backline in Prophecies and a midline and frontline in Nightfall and Factions.

Hi Kamicki,
I'm just a raw newblet, but I did exactly what Gremlin and Neith suggested, and ended up using my first character from Prophecies in Factions. It's been a hoot!

Ultimately its about what you enjoy but I found playing this way to be fun.
My main characters have been everywhere in the game but when I got really stuck in a campaign I moved to another for a while.
I this meant I had a fun time instead of being frustrated at my lack of skill and at the same time I gained money and resources to be used on all my characters plus opened up skills I could eventually use on my heroes.

Thank you.
I think I'll follow this advice.
