Do we have any information as to when the Canthan New Year will take place? According to the wiki it should begin towards the end of the month?

The chinese new year takes place on the 23rd of January this year which is a Monday. In years past haven't they done it over the weekend?
Trying to make arrangements so I can get my character ready for Shing Jae Boardwalk.
Lastly any other suggestions for the upcoming holiday event?
Thanks for your time

If I recall the info from the wiki, it seems that all but last year's was on the closest weekend to the actual day of Chinese New Year. Last year, the event started during the week on the day that was the Chinese New Year, so we ended up with one or two days extra. Most likely, the event will begin on the 20th and end on the 23rd (like most weekend events), with the finale on Sunday the 22nd.
Too bad really, it would be nice to have a few extra days of ring afking to try to finish off at least one of the titles, especially since there are quests involved in this mission which takes away farming time. The actual Chinese New Year lasts two weeks - it might be nice to have at least a week for the Canthan New Year.

What the above poster mentioned is probably how its going to turn out apart from the fact Canthan New Year starts on Thursdays. So I presume it will be this Thursday it will start, looking forward to the event.

We can only guess until the dev team releases information about the date.
