Beginner curiosity: Size of Bosses on Quests in Prophecies, etc.

Howdy All,

Perhaps I missed it, but the wikis indicate the quests certain bosses can be encountered, but they don't necessarily indicate the size or scale of a boss monster; so I was wondering...

...Does Prophecies contain a good number of large-sized bosses; similar to the size of Glint; or even a not so big size like "The great destroyer" in EOTN?

Maybe other dragons?
Or do you have to wait to do Factions, NF, and EOTN to encounter such monsters.

I figured posting in the quests forum might help since questers have seen them first hand.

Thanks for the help!

There are very few super-size bosses in any of the campaigns. In Prophecies, the only bosses that are much larger than ordinary are Glint, Maw the Mountain Heart, and perhaps Rotscale. Both of the latter are in out-of-the-way locations and are not encountered in the course of doing the story. Zhu Hanuku is the only real candidate in Factions, unless the Island Guardian bosses are big enough to meet your criteria. Abaddon is the only one in Nightfall.

Yes one of the disappointing aspects of Guildwars another reason to look forward to Guildwars 2 for from what I've seen some bosses are 10x or more in scale.

Personally I don't care so much about the size of them, to me it is more interesting if they give a challenging game experience. Most prophecies bosses are not really big. In the mission Thynderhead Keep you meet Dagnar Stonepate, a dwarf riding an ice drake. Looks decently big and impressive but he is really easy to kill.
On contrary in 2 of the hard dungeons of EOTN Slaver's Exile and Shards of Orr the end bosses are a dwarf (without a mount) called Duncan the Black and a human sized ghost called Fendi Nin. But they are a challenge. If you as a first timer face them with some random heroes and henchmen you are 100% sure to loose. They need a planned team with the right skills to take down.

The Lich is bigger than normal, but certainly not huge. The Great Destroyer is probably the biggest boss in GW, besides Abaddon (who doesn't really count).

HYAHHHHH!

Frostmaw and Jormundgangr are the biggest foes in the game except for the "demons gate" (http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Demons_Gate) like Abaddon

Iron Forgeman in Prophecies(Sorrow's Furnace) is pretty big, although it's not technically a boss.

Urgoz is a cool encounter. Hes a big plant growing out of the ground with 2 wurms on each of his sides. Unfortunately the wurms just sit there and urgoz is boring.

Leviathan in The Deep is huge. Just not really exciting...
