Randomly going offline

The last few months of playing gw, I have been randomly going offline. After a few minutes, my friends list would appear with this message: "Your connection to the Friends server was lost. Click below to reconnect." (There would be a green "Reconnect" button that would then have me type in my password and then I could log back in.) At the top of that Screen it would say: "Your network login has expired. Please enter your password to renew it."

Has anybody else experienced this? And if so how do you fix it?

Yes! Mine just started doing this yesterday morning.

Before this; my computer was fine and everything would load pretty quickly. Now sometimes I am stuck at the map loading screen or I will randomly disconnect while playing. I willbe running then I will stop on the spot and won't be able to move. I can reconnect right after.

I also am getting A LOT more lag. Last night it kept happening; as soon as I went into combat I would get stuck in a delay and would take 5 minutes to fix itself.

I thought it was my internet provider but I'm not sure. I am no where near my monthly usage limit.

Edit: one ting I forgot to mention is a strange problem with salvage kits. If I try to salvage a stack too quickly it will disconnect me. When I reconnect I am standing 100m from where I was salvaging.

Why so surprised? Since GW downgraded servers over a year ago, all the issues you guys describe are normal.

Don't salvage fast on a shitty connection or you will be disconnected, simple as that.

I've had that "disconnect from the friends" thing occasionally in the past. I never got around to finding out why, because it always fixed itself quickly.

In any case, it's most likely one of those network/internet things that you have no control over anyway.

As a friend of the OP, I can safely say that he is the only person this happens to. Mid-anything, he will go "offline". The only time I personally have ever encountered the Friendslist reconnect issue is when I've been on for 24+ hours consecutively. Him going "offline" is much more common that you would think (I'd say every 15~ minutes).

The salvage thing happens to everyone. Everyone will disconnect if they salvage too fast. It's to keep bots from well, botting.
