Well they did say it would be early February so im pretty confident it will be 3rd of Feb weekend.
Two weeks after the chinese new year is a big gap for Canthan New year biggest I have seen to date, so im pretty hopefull Anet will do it then.
Hopefully someone from Anet (Stéphane
) would be kind enough to confirm that though would be great!

Yeah..no doubt. I keep seeing posts regarding the weather. I don't watch the news so was there a hurricane or something I am not aware of that caused the event delay?

True, i guess Anet is looking for another crappy flux to destroy RBR/DA. Obviously destroying Hero Battles, Team Arena, Costume Brawl, Snowball... etc. pp. ain't enough.

Except that if you read anything they already stated that the flux would not affect rbr/DA. Just sayin

If you want my opinion, there won't be a February flux until after CNY is over.

As some of us who play GW and who still love the festivals (even if we have been playing for 6 years) are adults with children and families who have to be catered to, it would be very welcome if Anet would let us know the festival weekend dates a few weeks in advance.
People have to make arrangements to keep that weekend clear and it is not easy to do if we don't have the date in advance.

A-net is making it more clear everyday that they have stopped caring about GW. What they want is for us to buy GW2 as soon as it gets out and that's ALL they care about. Stopping the fun things that this game still has is becoming more and more prevalent. CNY since the beginning in 2007 has ALWAYS been the same week as the beginning of the Chinese new year. Now ???? Peeps scheduled time off for this one, myself included, as our alliance sponsors 2 districts. Im really disappointed A-net is treating us so blase. I myself vow to spend no more real world coin on A-Net store items and WILL NOT on GW2 when it comes out ......in 2023.

What can we do though its there call, im still hoping someone from Anet will drop in this thread again and tell us for sure that it will be next weekend, which is looking the best bet at the moment.

Bit suprised to see its not CNY yet as like others I was expecting it to coincide with its IRL twin.
Id also like to second the request that Anet consider maybe confirming the upcoming festival dates a couple of weeks ahead of time where possible rather than leaving people waiting to see if they will/when they will arrive.
Thinking of Dragon Festival, Wintersday in July, St Patrick's clover drops, Easter choc bunny drops. These all usually draw significant attention even from folks who dont play regularly so the more people know that date in advance the better.

the mini will probably look a lot like the celestial summoning stone creature (only mini pet sized)...since the other minis we have do,...I will assume they will keep this up (and probably the whole reason why they made the summoning stones --so they have the templates for the rest of the zodiac already done).
I think shav makes some good points as well....though I think the reason for the move was more due to the silly flux thing than them not caring.
