cant wait for this to start. i really want that mini. i only wish they added in more quests to get tokens. tried farming and never seen to get alot like i seen others do. xD i only hope the token stack prices wont be mega high this time.

Once it started up, I took my 120 tokens from a previous year (i dont remember), got 40 Lunar Fortunes and go my Mini Dragon in the first 30 Fortunes! This dragon is so sexy

Noon PST was about 30 mins ago been doing a few farming runs and haven't gotten any of the tokens to drop just bad luck or did they not kick in the event as planned?
Edit: Finally got my first token at 3:37 So I guess they are dropping.

Anyone else have issues with getting the festival quests? I have a character that did the quests last year that for some reason can not get them this year. Character is level 20 so the level restriction isn't the problem.

How does one get these tokens? Just killing any pve foes? Or particular ones? Went to wiki and it seemed like any pve foe anywhere, but I just want to make sure. Sorry for the newbie questions. Recently picked up this game and I love to collect pets so I want to grab one of these dragon pets.

The token drops are all over gw pve - but sadly they have a real low droprate

Supremely disappointed. Rollerbeetle Racing is still the same luck-based cesspool of griefers.
Servers are as bad as ever. There's still no time trial option for RBR which should have been there since day one. There's still no more than 5 points to be given out of Dragon Arena.
Imagine having a Mario Kart time trial with rewards but you have to compete with as many players as in a GP. Good luck skill>grind, sure ANet bros.

Last year was the first year I didn't have to buy my celestial mini from other players, but it took me a few hundred fortunes to get it. This year I got my mini within ten fortunes. Very excited.

Got my first dragon within my first 40 Fortunes in the first 5 minutes of the day. I've gotten 3 more now. Guess I'm a lucky guy..

Got my one (and only) mini from doing one set quests on first character. I'm quite happy; didn't want to do more than necessary.

I am probably going to get attacked by this, but I did the quests with six characters to get 236 total Fortunes.
I got a total of 4 Celestial Dragons. I'm definitely keeping one for myself, one for my girlfriend because she opened 188 of them and didn't get one, but I'm curious how fast the price of them are going down... or are they going up?
I'm extremely surprised how many dropped for me too. I haven't gained a single Celestial Mini except the Pig so long ago.

In my first 33 Fortunes, Two Celestial Dragons came out, wish I had screen capped it, but they're in my inventory, this seems like a good year!

If one really wants to make a killing off the minis they have to sell them fast. Towards the end of the event they have almost always dropped to 35-50k

Opened several fortunes on my main, got jack diddly.
Ran my ritualist through the quests in shing jea island, got two dragons from those.
I think I will start having my alts open up more of my gifts and stuff...

Long story short, there are two approaches - farm during the first day and sell them already in a few hours after the event start, or farm them all the time and keep them for a few months, maybe even more than 'few', and sell them then.
The second option is not viable anymore, with GW2 around the corner.
I remember Cele Tigers and Bunnies spiking down to 20-30k at the end of the previous events, and keeping that price for nearly a month.

This was my first Canthan New Year.
I opened the lunar fortunes one token stack at a time (249 tokens, 83 fortunes) having accumulated three stacks of tokens. No mini from the first two sets of 83 fortunes but i got two from the third set.
I still have the Elonian quests to do but i think i'll trade those for lunar bags instead since i still haven't maxed the drunkard and sweet titles.
I have to say, i was a bit worried about not getting a mini after the first 166 fortunes.
I left my character on the nine rings over night, but when i checked in on it this morning the James Bond error had struck again *shakes fist*. I'm hoping my character will be able to stay online until i get back home tonight.

Not that i'm mad or i believe some cheated, but considering you need at least echo+ super, a perfect connection, a perfect start, no funny kds from opponent, it's quite hard to believe some people already got 3-4 accounts in top50...

It's always a little bit easier to start cleanly on the first day, as people tend to eat the first Ram that comes along until they learn/remember how to use Shell.

Anyway, we will see that on monday when it will be the same guys with 6 accounts and when #100 will be 481.900 as usual i guess

You are also probably underestimating the number of runs that are being thrown at the problem.
