Also, my fiancé ended up getting 43 fortunes, ripping them all to see if she would get a dragon (she had about a 24 percent chance), and she cracked one literally on the 43rd fortune. I didn't have the patience for that, though, and I just bought one off the first guy I saw selling it for 50k. Now I can pretend I have money!

out of all the fortunes i used over both accounts i say roughly around 2000 or so? i gotten 5 dragons..someone in my allaince gotten 12 from opening the same amount. i wish i could have gotten more but least i gotten one for each account 2 for my friends that couldnt play this weekend and one to keep and sell later on. wish i couldve been on to see the rest of the finale but its soooooo laggy even when not near the 9 rings and chefs. xD but im happy i least gotten to 1,952,456 lucky so thats something

This is why people stop. It isn't that they're bots.
Dishonor is a bad system that doesn't fix the underlying problem. Making people do something they don't want to do isn't fun, and has no place in gaming. They made /resign give dishonor, so people multi. If you make staying put give dishonor, people will just /resign and swap between a ton of accounts to stay ahead of dishonor. And so forth.
Many of the arena's problems result from the fact that two populations are trying to share the same space: people racing for time, and people racing to reach the finish line first every time. The optimal strategies for each goal are very different, and so it's no surprise that the two groups hate each other.
The obvious solution is to split the groups up, but RBR isn't well balanced for a solo "time trial" mode.

Obviously, there can't be time trial else everyone will end up on getting similar scores , but i guess they should just have made it a bit more "simple" so the gap between #1 in an average race(let's say 450) would be closer to a top 100 score( 482)

That sounds a bit low. I saw dragons for 20k, but they were dedicated. For the most part I saw wts ads for unded ones for 60-70k a piece.

Apparently over 450 fortunes was unable to defeat the RNG, because no mini for me. Yes, I know the number of fortunes doesn't necessarily guarantee a drop.

Thats odd... it seemed to me as though dragons were fairly common. In recent years, I was never able to get a celestial mini without buying one, but this year I got one on about my 20th fortune. Many of my guildies were having the same kind of luck as well.

Sometimes I wish there was a collector exchanging 250 fortunes for the miniature, sacrificing the item effects, fireworks and money in exchange for a sure miniature.
The odds are supposed to be about 1 every stack or so, so it would be a fair trade.
I got 3 dragons after opening just 600 fortunes, at about 100, 300 and 450, plus over 20K in gold and over 400 party points.
