New Question: Name Problems

So I was faffing about on the trial and I managed to get the exact name I wanted. Awesome.
I recieved the full game today, went and deleted the character but the name still seems to be taken.
I'm guessing either, the servers haven't updated the names taken yet so it's just appearing that way until then or the trial doesn't follow the restrictions because they generally just delete after time. It was an @ncsoft username if that matters.

Can anyone clarify this for me?

I believe there's a 24 hr wait before a name becomes available once released.

Just a remark: you seem to have created a new account full the full game. But you could have kept your trial characters. You were able to upgrade your trial account to a full account with the unused key from the full game. I started my account this way years ago.

But as soon as you use the key from the full game to create a new account, it is used up of course and cannot be used any more to upgrade your trial account.

hmm, thats odd because whenever I delete and remake my pvp character slot i can always use the same name immediately after.

I think it's because it's on the same account, but the OP seemed to have made a new account.

Yeah something like that happened to me about 4 years ago. Still can't use the name, I thought somebody beat me to it, so I checked the HOM calculator and it seems to not be in use, so I just gave up.

Deleting and creating a character off your own account should cause no delay,
I assume in this case it was deleted off the trial account and thus need 24h wait before his different (full) account can use it.

Yes because it is reserved for 24 hours for the same account.

I know. I just rushed through creating the trial account and some of what I put isn't completely accurate. THe computer I use barely works and Internet Explorer is very very slow (I'm not using it while I'm on here) so it was easier to just make a fresh one.
