Getting weapons for heroes?
Deyadissa
I have many heroes and I'd like to get max weapons that can be modded but I can't seem to find anyone selling weapons that aren't green.
I'm looking for basic skin weapons that sell cheap but they can be modded, I have yet to find anything to do this... is there a vendor like this?

If you're playing right now(right now!) I could just give you some stuff I have lying around, what do you need?

Unless ya wanna sit around in Kamadan all day, it's quicker to either get ones crafted in EotN (Rata Sum has decent ones), get some from the Bonus Mission Pack (if ya have it) or get some using Ministerial Commendations in Factions.

if you have the mods you want to put on the weapons already and aren't picky that you might not be able to salvage them back off...there is also the option of getting collector weapons. They can be gotten by trading in loot drops at specific NPCs.
You can also try the WTB forum here on guru. Post the kinds of weapons you'd like and the price range you're willing to pay and see if anyone has items you might be interested in

You must not have been to kamadan some time. I needed some weaps for my new chars team and pinged in Kamadan. Got max golds, good ones 2, and so many people wanted to get rid of there golds it looked like greek market.

Getting golds that can be inscribed is not a problem if you arent particular about skins. Nor is it expensive...unless and again you are particular about skins. The more expensive part will be "fixing them up" with runes and (more so) mods. That part usually will exceed the actual cost of the generic golds itself. A 20/20 focus is a perfect example...you can find a 20/20 green focus (bogroot focus for example for a rit) for 2-5k but to buy just the "20" inscription for a gold inscribable focus would cost 25-30k by itself.
Unless you plan on constantly modifying the runes/mods on your heroes weps (ive never done that that i recall in 4 years of playing) then greens really are better for heroes imho. If you want yo switch up builds just switch the green. Having a variety of greens that your heroes can access is not uncommon. Much more feasible that having to modify the existing one every time.
Some greens have sucky mods but there are plenty for anything you can possibly want in terms of mods. You can wiki green weps, find all the ones you want then either WTB it in the Buy forum here or in Kamadan. Except for real nice skinned greens most every green can be gotten for 5k or less....which will be cheaper...not to mention having to waste more time after having gotten someone to sell you the gold trying to buy mods for the gold.

Build your own hero weapons. There are plenty of good weapon drops as loot while you play. At least when you play in hard mode: more max-stat weapons you ever need. Just inspect carefully.
Salvage every useful upgrade and store it somewhere. Once in a while, the right weapon with the correct attribute for a hero will drop. Pull the salvaged upgrades from your storage, upgrade the weapon with the upgrades of your choice and equip the hero with the weapon. Almost zero cost. Well, you should get yourself one or to perfect salvage kits to be able to salvage upgrades without the risk of destroying the weapon.

This is how I did it too. All my heroes are kitted out with nice golds or greens, I just waited until they came along. I also made sure to use my end-game rewards for heroes that may need a new weapon too more than I did (so don't necessarily get the EGR for your class when you could get it for another class that a hero could use).

Factions has some very nice crafters and collectors too... they have some very useful stuff.

collector weapons arent all that bad (my main STILL uses a collector focus)....and some of the greens arent that bad either. If your heroes are from eton then they have max stat weapons already--just upgrade them as you get better drops, nightfall ones will need the help---once again, keep drops that look good---lots of purples have good stats!! removed mods from bad drops--keep these to put on golds (or nice purples)....
I have never bought a hero a weapon, they get drops or collector stuff (some still have what they started with ....)...and after I have 'dedicated' some of the destroyer and oppressor weapons--they have gotten them.
so use what drops, gets some collector weapons and greens arent that bad for heroes.

It sounds as though you might be thinking that Hero weapons are in some way different from other weapons. They're not. Just use the same weapons you would use, which you can get as drops, or from chests, or from collectors, or from weapons crafters. You might have difficulty finding anyone actually bothering to sell (or give away) cheap weapons anymore, so drops, chests and crafters are probably your best bets.

IMO, it doesn't matter if casters have max stat weapons. Sometimes I don't even bother giving them an attacking weapon and just give them a focus. Casters usually won't need to use their attacking weapons because their primary source of damage is skills and spells. As long as they get like +10 energy somehow they're fine. I would only worry about max stat weapons for your Warrior, Ranger, Dervish, Paragon, and Assassin heroes. Plus, I usually use mostly caster heroes because they're just more effective.

Anyway, as someone already said most collectors got perfect weapons (I abuse of the faction ones, but there's some nice ones in nf and eye as well).
